Anecdotes and Annotations

CoR is a new module with a lot of new players with little to no knowledge of  EFU's systems.

Some times. These players get dragged into PvP whether by choice or by force of circumstances.

Can we bring back the safety cloak, so at least veteran can know, and perhaps take it easy on the new guys/gals on the block?

Make it bad luck or something to kill a safety cloaker. Or something.

I love cats

TBH new players are usually spot by the basic/easy armor starting armor. I think there should be some kind of absurd pot helmet to mark you as recently awoken. Maybe have some embarassing redicilous outfit/pink plume helmet the king has generously given out to mock the newly awoken.

I am against bad luck but DMS should step in if level 2-3S are getting ganked and IG authorities/law enforcement factions should also step their game up.

Dillusionist

A lot of new players, especially those unaccustomed to EFUs culture, are probably going to be very eager for a custom look or dyed armor. Its pretty much the norm in most of NWN.

Some good manners, especially if you utterly decimate an opponent, can go a long way. Maybe only take a choice potion, or spit a few taunts their way and stalk off if you feel the match wasn't even.

Even a simple tell "Banditry is fairly common on EFU. I generally try to avoid new folks, but sometimes its hard to tell. But I like your character and hope you stick around. Let me know if you need any advice!" is probably a good idea. Its not so much they shouldn't face adversity. They just need to know they aren't being picked on.

Time_Stomped

I haven't really heard of any non-faction related new PC PvP incidents other than one incident OOCly and it might have been possible that they earned a good whack.

Easiest way to tell if a player is new is to just bandit them, so why deny the people this important diagnostic tool? If they're a nub peer afraid of the man-meat-heat-of-PvPā„¢ taking peer shit they can just go the long way around or hide.

90%+ preventable and most people don't want to waste good see invisibility consumables to just jump randoms.  Banditry has its economics after all.

Cruzel

If there's not really a reliable way to tell if someone is a level 2-4, what if an OOC message was added when you subdue them  as like a level 6-7+?

a combat window message saying something like "OOC: This person is significantly lower level than you. Please remember to be courteous to low levels"
