[tface="meddon"]Shakti Athes...[/tface]

... former daughter of Ananda Athes, from the Moon Children...

... then Brood Mother, Wyrden Mother... Herald of Change.

Sorcerer, Planar Bound... low wisdom... conjurer and diviner...

... she shifted from CG to CE because of her sacrifices and mistakes. I had a close to powerless time with her during the CN time... a most strange transition.

I made a mistake.
She is gone.
I am bitter.

... the usual crap.

From the Gur, the Highway Folk, a new seer, or Moonsayer as they say, was born. The Gur believe that the Gift of Divination isn't something that one learns. It is something bestowed by the Moon Herself through marks offered to her chosen children. And because of that the girl was named after the Primal Boons of the Mother of us All, she was to be known as Shakti.

Ananda Athes, her mother, had gone through difficult times to give birth to her daughter, mainly because of the father of the child, who caused a lot of trouble and suffering to them.

As many know, the Gur are a nomadic folk that travels through the Western Heartlands with their caravans and because of that they have no settlement to call home other than Toril herself. They worship Selune as their main deity and they have some ties with the Rashemi people. This was the ambiance Shakti had grown into, living a superstitious and ever changing atmosphere until the Darkening.

I had plans for she going through some Dark/ New Moon Heresy. Although, the Fates wrote her story in a totally different way. It was a nice ride. A shame I can't play the exile so well and my weaklings can not handle PvP decently. Even when I am the one starting it.

I have many to thank, but allow me to thank two persons in particular, the ones that have been more present in Shakti's development: Marauder and Meldread. She was yours as much as mine.

Oh... she had this nice cloak, inherited from her folk, the Gur. It granted her a deeper connection with her divination powers. But she gave up of herself in order to pursue her revenge and with it, she ruined the cloak from its main powers, washing it from the last bits that connected herself to her past and to her mother. Everything else was amazing (flavorful) stuff that could allow me to walk around puffing spores and having writhing thorns upon the hands.

The nicest part of her story was to bring out a major change for the server, with the addition of this new Faction: The Sovereign's Court. The Court is a really amazing initiative that I strongly recommend for those with tougher guts.

Shakti more than joined Tulathek. She married the Beast and was ready to have a child with it if needed be. And she had it.

Although, honestly, I must say that she would not die the way she did. She wanted to live more than anything and because of that she would not do the silly things I had done. Well... Shakti, I would like to say sorry to you for that moment of lack of patience. These have been hard days... sometimes it gets way too overwhelming to push things while exiled and hated. I still haven't learn the way.

... anyway! The ride was intense and I got tons of screenshots. Here are some of them. A bit of what she has gone through.

... well... goodbye...

Jayde Moon

NOOOOooooooo….

I did not get to DM her :(

Spiffy Has

At first I regarded her as annoying.

Then I saw she was pretty damn cool.

Granny is an A+ RPer. ;)

The Marauder

NOOOOOOOO!!!!*falls on her knees crying*

She was awesome! :( Can't wait to see what you put out next. I hope you had fun with her; I know I did.

Knight Of Pentacles

Oh!

I forgot some more recent screenies... I kept them away because Morfin was still hidden... but he and others are gone as well :(

Vault Shrike

I was always looking, but I could never find you!

Great work. :)

Random_White_Guy

I liked how starkly clear her transformation was becoming and how it formed essentially an entirely new person. Ceres really liked her and they would have gotten on grand so it was hard watching the changes and took her a long time to fully accept that Shakti was lost and beyond redemption.

Don't sweat weak characters. What you lack in power you always make up for with spectacular rp, every time. That is what really matters and where true strength is! I've got a screenshot too of our last semi-peaceful moments together IG. Your characters actions shaped the story for a lot of people and this final act was one of the two things that would change Ceres forever.

Ceres even helped the forest grow gifts for Shakti and anyone else. Everyone likes gifts, right? Right?

tala_kai

Shame she's gone :( Really liked her.

Was great hearing of all she did IC from different characters. She really made an impact on many :D

Awww. Arantras was looking forward to seeing what became of that Selunite he was mentoring so long ago.

Nicely done though, Granny. Don't feel down about her death - though it's probably not easy not to - instead use it as a learning experience and either take advantage of the apparent weaknesses you've found or remedy them for next time.

It is through Art, and through Art only, that we can realise our perfection.

Today, when I was sleeping, I had nightmares where Elspeth, Shakti and Ceres live in one home. But Shakti wanted to kill us both and the vines were all the time chasing me. And Ceres couldn't protect me, because she always died sooner than me :)

And now, after I woke up and looked here at the forum, I see that yesterday it was last time.

I will miss our conversations during which I had been feeling like I hade been sitting on a rattlesnake.

I always liked to play with granny. This is the first time she was my oponent. And it was cool too!

Moonlighter

Never met, heard all sorts of crazy stuff about in game, and immensely enjoyed the journals whenever they were a thing. Great character just based on that alone.

For those wondering:

yes, she gave birth to the spawn of the Beast.

... a much inspired Shadow Charlatan created this:

and a much inspired AllMyBudgies thought of this

Finally!

Well done, Granny!
