Well!

Quite the ride on Rana but her story has come to a pause / end. I am REALLY thankful to the countless people that joined up with us on the Red Banner, the swarm that opposed us all the time and made the conflict enjoyable, and to all players on both sides that really helped me stay motivated on a rather lengthy character (for me at least!) A special shout out to ELMO for his amazing method of loot and allowing a player to help design what is concept fitting on a piece or two. I think that is massively valuable and very much support that idea! AS noted earlier, thank you to Kinslayer for the prelude in the first place, and to EVERYONE of the Red Banner that kept us moving along at a decent pace that kept up with the DM factions. I think we had a high number of nine active players at one point and dropped to two or three at our lowest.

History wise, Rana started out on a prelude by Kinslayer for the "Sons of Senuspur" group, effectively a bunch of gutter scum from the surface city of Old Port who followed a "Ruby" to the underdark. We started off with a large contract to take Mycoplis for the spellguard so that they could control some ley stuff there and won. Eventually it turned into a mercenary company due to some LORE stuff making us shift our efforts a bit, and we kind of had to make our own way for a long time with a contact or two of greater powers to slap us on the wrist as we went. Overall it was a really enjoyable character for me and the Red Banner player faction turned out way better than I could imagine, even if I'm terrible at leading those types of things!

I'm missing a little bit here and there, but the players involved in the missing segments will probably see something relevant in the screenshots elsewhere (once more a shout out to ELMO for allowing ascetics / personal story to shine through in this way The Kilij is all you RWG!. I don't really feel like sorting them by anything other than time itself, so here they go!

With that said, the Kilij kept the following within it (and more who I tiredly / drank too much to remember, etc) :

Gaspar Castel
Geoffrey Beaufort
Artreez
Daeis Ancrath
Verminaan Bloodcloak
Tk'Tu Habasham
Beryl Gloomcloak
Goswin Von Tierdorf
Valentina Amraphel
Adonias Iskandar
Isabelia Florian
Morganna Blackhawk
Roland Artois
Brumgus Coalbuckle
Eyri Xanavol
Jean-Luc Liora
Colossus Fourthbaron
Beyol Isianol
Colette Marinshino
Giaus Decimus Agrippa
Gerrad Vaughan
Frank Tingleblossom
Graham Ty'Laein
Felix Crow
Rykas Vaelkarn
Virgil Adon
Alice Fairclow*

The Harlot's Shroud!

Some other loots

A key and wine selection :)

Vaughan's sword when he died (Her HUSBAND)

Gaspar's FEATHER that she carried at ALL TIMES after his death

But as for the story itself and in NO ORDER AT ALL - Here it goes haha

A duel against AMBLECROWN himself that didn't go so well

Awesome, ANCIENT friends (Charlie RULES)

One of many EXILE meetings

Some friends

The Adun'Ubis act that prevented her from being a Councilor for so long (Yeah, Statues was right and all of the witnesses were killed)

Some funny guy asking for haste to kill a Dragon :)

The "Siblings" - Gaspar and Rana were the last of the prelude and DESTINED to fight one day....

You know, Alice Fairclow is an amazing PC and the RP is way above most, but even those folks sometimes make terrible emotes......

An EARLY meeting with Lord Sinclair

Watching the enthralled brothers Artreez and Gaspar leave the city after the first fight with Rana (They lost, but only because Vick interupted the duel of HONOR....DRD would be displeased)

The RED WEDDING, where the big fued between Rana / Magnatz started (She effectively stole a contract to kill him for an old contact in Old Port. RIP Fortune's Forsake mercenary company)

Preparing to leave the city of Sanctuary with Lord Sinclair, who finally put his armor on. He once cut off Rana's head early in her career, and once smashed her into the dirt later on in her life in Sanctuary. Sometimes the lessons of true loyalty are expensive.

A meeting with a very powerful and intelligent man (Amazing RP Ironside!) This kind of kept the Red Banner from betraying the spellguard with any contract

When Elmo can't figure out how to make the NPCs attack you -

Sailing off across the Dark Lake one last time

Another angle of the Siblings

I went to the FOUNT once....amusing place

The Red Banner sails off for adventure

Into the machine to kill some rats and clean the bowels so the GREAT WORK can begin

A fake throne

Some Magnatz business.....

A VERY nostalgic place for me, and statue at that.....

Before the war on Mycoplis, Gaspar was stealing the show in a spellguard animatron suit

Another very nostalgic screenshot - Duke Trenada, maddened by his greed and other things failing once again to gamble in the Drow House..... (RIP Trenada)

Red Wedding random photo

Lord Sinclair beats my ass again (RPing that 10 charisma sucks sometimes)

The last moment of Artreez (RIP friend, awesome character and thanks for joining us!)

Gerrard Vaughan's wedding present... lol

When the mayor was assassinated, quite the turnout!

And the most important screenshot. This is Kreshar, who smashed Rana in a duel to the death on his powerful thrall of Baron Ormulax. Instead of just killing her months ago, he let the story ride and decided to make the conflict GROW and progress. Kreshar ended up getting killed right after he died to some NPCs I believe, and had respawned, and was running back to his fort wounded. I bring this up because none of what I did would be possible if he didn't allow me to live and move on to try and push my own story and agenda, and in doing so really didn't hurt him in any way! Our duel was literally over EGO of characters, but oocly and even somewhat ICly meant nothing, and so his choice was nothing but classy, so much respect to you Kreshar! Be weary of who you kill EFU friends, sometimes they still have a great story to tell and it might be better to let them grind on if it's not a fitting end for it.

Thanks again everyone involved for the allies, enemies, and otherwise! See you soon on the next :)

Kinslayer988

I am glad you stuck to it all the way to the end. Good screenshots, I wish people would take more. From prelude to end, well done.
<SkillFocuspwn> no property developers among men only brothers

Jello!

So many enemies of sanctuary breathing a sigh of relief at once.

Well done.

She was a hell of a presence.

Also, 10 charisma? More like 100 charisma >___>

Phenomenal PC.

It's one thing to be a "crusher" who understands the ins and outs of how to succeed mechanically in EFU and to be a terrifying person to conflict with. It's another thing entirely to have the gravitas and poise of an NPC while being incredibly engaging, dynamic, and full of personality. I didn't get to see Rana's ascent to becoming the Harlot, but I did get a lot of small interactions with her over the course of my sparse play times. She was incredible to see interact with the world as this nuanced, tragic last survivor of her company.

Really great stuff. As always, looking forward to the next.

Stop making amazing, story pushing, server changing, charming PCs and make something fat and trashy.
Feed me my kid cuisine meal, or I will say the F word.

if she's your girl then why does her leitmotif appear in my battle theme bro  :/

I love cats

I gotta say I loved Ingman's original dealings with the sons of Senuspar and loved Rana's treachery/defence of Ingman!

Was a fantastic time attempting to court the Harlot to the ends of Jergal.

VanillaPudding

Thanks for the screens Bearic!

Kotenku

Thanks for the ride. Here's some Red-Banner/Rana related glamour shots.

This next one was in the abandoned House of Governance in the
early days immediately after Thervion became Commander.

Pup

Quite possibly my all-time favorite char to play alongside.  She clearly despised yet somehow respected Artreez.  Playing alongside Rana and Gaspar made me step my game up big-time.  So many amazing moments.
The best was when VanillaPudding emoted that the Red Banner fell naturally into formation when facing a crazy druid at the gates.  We had fought together so much we just naturally moved into the optimal formation without saying a word.  We all new our place and our skills.
The other amazing moments were when Artreez did something incredible despite his clear handicaps (There were actually a fair amount of these moments. He was like the Forrest Gump of the Red Banner), then getting the praise of Rana and Gaspar, which he very desperately sought.
Anyways.  Amazing character.

"Amigo, you just wrote my epitaph."

"Maybe there's just one revolution.  The good guys against the bad guys.  The question is, who are the good guys?"
