I'd like thank everyone here who was interesting and decent to interact with, and that was almost everyone.  There are bad apples of course, but that's true anywhere, and what can you do.  Live and let live.

I've spoken with staff and it seems like maybe my style just isn't really best suited to EFU.  It's a fine technical achievement of a server, and has many very capable players that keep things always interesting.

Best for 2018!  See if Trump blows up the world or no?  Who can say? :)

Don't be ashamed to give it another try at anytime. It can definitely take some attempts to get the hang of things.

Oh hell
honey you were pvp'd every day here like a rag doll.  never once started one, lost every time.  every time babe.
and unlike me you always win fair duels, you've never been even given a chance to reach a level to stand up to them.  i watched them gang up on you like crazy.  they thought because i wasn't in game i could not see what was up...lol

goodbye people.  v is so cool and apparently you don't see that.  no problem.  never met a truer friend.
btw may i humbly suggest to all of you that v is being really, really sarcastic in her above post?  that in all honesty she thinks you are mostly terrible people.

and since he made such a big public deal...lets deal with mr werewolf.  anyone who leaves that kind of person with mary sue pvp monster is an idiot.

ta ta!  see you around the real world sometime maybe! [hope not]

vhunelar

yeah maybe

for anyone curious this was the dm channel on the char

be well everyone

Character Concept: Jeanette Fourn

Jeanette is heavily influenced by historical character Jeanne d'Arc.

A young woman who has been variously called hero, villain, madwoman, saint, and martyr.

One thing is fairly clear from history - Jeanne was very simple and singleminded in her pursuit of her goals.  There is also strong evidence she was very religious and obsessed with scripture and justice.  Many accounts have this simple uneducated girl giving deeply wise and brave replies - especially in her last days to her captors as she is tried in England for being a witch.

Under fire Jeanne is recorded by all sides as being brave to a fault.  Refusing to withdraw if any friendly forces are likely to be enveloped by her cowardice.  It is this refusal to leave anyone behind which by all accounts results in her eventual capture.  [some accounts have she simply lost her head and surrendered - either way she was cut off and her unit cut to bits when the rest of the army withdrew]

This character takes the angle Jeanne did not seek personal power.  That is unclear historically.  For the purposes of this character Jeanne only wanted to free her people from cruelty and put the rightful king on the throne at any cost to herself.

It's worth noting historically Jean pissed off a lot of her 'friends'.  They could not stand her constant moralism and demand for no compromises.  There is evidence the King she helped get crowned participated in a scheme to have her captured by English forces as her "use" was complete.

I will in my RP use the historical attitudes outlined here as a guide for how Jeanette will act.  Other than the name similarity there will be no other mention of actual human history in game.

At this point even I can't believe the level of BS. First there is rape RP and DMS are covering it up and now we are bullies that gang up on low level PCS and grief? You really can't con a con man. No one here is buying it at all especially since Howland published screenshots of someone that logged out when subdued and blatantly disregarded anything that could be considered rationally good role play by making a sending about IG events on another character. Stranger played a real awesome werewolf that was quite classy in PVP/letting people live. He also made it fearsome being an fling hungry werewolf. It's also mentioned explicitly IG and OOC that running around with a ton of undead is something that can get you killed on this server no matter the level. Stranger also by playing a wolf/monster also realises that at any level people can kill him for being what he is! He in fact embraced that and took groups on even when they outnumbered/outclassed him. In fact Stranger's wolf was a lot more merciful than many of my standard race PCS!  Stranger's werewolf was awesome and is exactly how a monster should be played.

You and Vhuln have not once been subdued by one of my more sinister aligned PCS and thank god for that. I also try my best to avoid low level PCS and that honestly can sometimes be hard to see that someone is level 4-6. The orange cloak/safety cloak is a good thing to wear to mark your character as very low level/inexperienced. Most very evil PC robbers/thugs are not going to bother with orange cloaks. As for never reaching a level to stand up to people? I"m sorry but thats a lie. On lower level PCS.  I"ve taken out some level 8+ PCS and won purely un supplies, planning and having allies. EFU is the kind of server where a level 10 warrior can stick up for a level 5 rogue hell even be that level 5 rogue's servant.

On a level 6 fighter I took on a high level absurdly high HP Dwarf they had DM loot and a lot more supplies but even that couldn't stop a shameless thug that came out from invisbility to make a name for himself. I"ve had a gallant warrior that single handedly beat down an Orog (Way more brutal and scary than Stranger's Wolf) and one of its allies only to be taken out by failing the save on a Phantasm Killer wand. (He was also one level less than me the horror!) On a level 4 fighter I killed a level 7 Drow PC. (I confess that was an absurdly lucky great axe crit.) I"ve had pcs that had zero PVP skills/committed zero PVP use allies contacts and gold to get people killed. Some of EFUS most powerful PCS have in fact been merchants that didn't do PVP at all but relied on allies. If Vhulner or you want help on surviving/fleeing/PVP I am very open to give it. Thus far I"ve actually enjoyed a lot of my IG interactions with Vhulner and think they/you both should consider coming back IG or asking myself or other experienced players and DMS about EFU for help/advice. Most of us are very willing to give it.

I can say I like this community and in fact have met 2 people from here RL and have Facebook friends with both PCS and DMS. While there are a number of things even I complain about/address I still love this server and community. Especially all the loot, lore and storyline built in. Heck a lot of my current PCS scholarly work is based on collecting material other scholarly PCS laid before me. Players also have an amazing ability to influence the direction and storyline of the server. There have been times super powerful NPCS have gotten slaughtered/murdered purely by player actions.

No I"m not a goody two shoes I"ve had frustration, rage quit moments, quit edu moments, too overwhelmed with RL moments, disillusionment. When I began this server I was honestly very immature and came from a dark place in life (With my age I would say my RP skills and style have enhanced.) Hell there has been times I got temporarily banned due to very stupid shit I pulled. EFU is all about giving people another chance and is quite an accepting community.

ta ta!  see you around the real world sometime maybe! [hope not]

You claim to have screenshots of illicit behavior, yet you don't share them.  You claim to have witnessed various offenses, but provide no proof.  By stubbornly refusing to substantiate your claims, you have succeeded in wasting copious amounts of everyone's time.  I and other DMs dedicated quite a few man hours to puzzling out every new lie you concocted, and it has left me with little patience to entertain you anymore.

So I just want to take a little more of my precious time to point out a few misconceptions you seem to have - both tonally, in this post, and about the server generally =)

1. That someone "being cool" or "friendly" out of character means anything in-character.  This is a pretty basic "baby's first steps" bylaw of online roleplaying, and while I'm sure "V" (?) is a very cool person, this inability to separate in-game from out of game is something we frown upon.  Your constant complaining/posturing about "fair duels" reads like a teenager throwing a temper tantrum over losing a match in a MOBA, or being killed in Counter-Strike or something -- it's very embarrassing for you and for others to adopt this sort of tone, and reflects very poorly on your character.

On the topic of being "cool and friendly", I'd like to point out that making false rape allegations because your friend lost a pvp on a decade year old roleplaying server is neither cool nor friendly.  It can be described with a few other terms, which I have listed here for you to pick and choose as you like: sociopathic, neurotic, manipulative, nonsensical, embarrassing, disingenuous, deplorable, deceptive, etcetera (... read more at: https://www.webmd.com/brain/autism/symptoms-of-autism)

2. That your low-effort, pseudo-schizophrenic ambling rants are anything but that.  EfU is a server where PvP happens - where characters often lead short, brutal lives.  The werewolf "mary sue" you so incessantly complain about was killed by another PC, alone, without any help from others.  He was given no special advantages over his peers, and (as is the case with all monster PCs) we expected him to die this way.  His slayer was awarded a very powerful DM loot greatsword for the effort.  This is because while EfU is a high risk server (the fact which so irritates you personally) it is also a high reward server.

3. That continuing to behave like a petulant middle schooler will endear you to anyone.  It will not.  And it has not.  I wish you all the best in your future endeavors, but I sincerely hope they do not involve EfU in any way.

:)
