Help Please. Robes and other clothing not appearing. Empty models.

Hello! Just had my old computer die so it was time to build a new one. Given that I decided to take a new crack at the server with a new character. Download Nwn, used the efu downloader, installed cep, used the 1.69 rebuild path, used the launcher again. The problem I'm having is that certain clothes, such as robes and cloaks are appearing and disappearing between areas. They will be visible in one area, and as soon as I load another, my character's body and cloak is missing leaving me as a floating head, feet and hands. Any idea what is causing this and how to fix it?

I don't believe efu uses cep, which might be the issue?

The graphical error was occurring before I installed cep. I installed CEP afterwards to see if that was the problem. It is still happening.

Experiencing a similar issue myself, cloaks and robes start appearing after a few area transitions but I am having trouble finding a proper fix.

1. Make sure you used the "/c  haks " or "/c  haks  on " (forgot which is the correct command).
2. Empty your override folder and see if the situation persists. I strongly suggest having only the overrides of EfU while playing (Spells, domains, etc).

1.) There is potential that some overrides are happening, since CEP includes TONS of haks. They can also have part of what we have, and that means the file names might collide. There is small chance it creates a conflict and that can be the problem.

2.) As Tala said, if you have overrides that affects clothes, that most often is the issue that causes problems. I still and used to have problem with special goblin skins, that caused issues with them often ending up invisible if they had specific weapons or others that the model was not properly attaching to it's hands, so it broke and was completely invisible.

Also as a small tip: Override files are identical to haks, the difference is small. Technically there is no difference between them. Only difference is how the game engine handles them. Overrides are always included and applied on your own computer. No one else will see them, only you will, and they are not enforced by server. Server can also support override if we add same override to server-side. This also means that overrides OVERRIDE Haks. So if you have haks, and then have same haks that have been edited in override, the edited haks inside Override folder will take priority over everything. So be careful with anything you have in override.

So given what you've said I decided to just do a clean install and just use the efu launcher. So new problem. Now the game just crashed when trying to connect to the server. It gets to the character log-in, but as soon as the server tries to load, it crashes to desktop.

Edit: Also checked, robes still aren't loading in single player.

This is actually an issue with the latest Nvidia driver.  Adjust your resolution in game to fix it, and avoid using windowed mode.

I have this issue, as well as a problem of rock worms not showing up. The fix Ironside mentioned worked great for me, but unfortunately not for the missing Rock Worm models.

I'm not certain whether it's specific to Rock Worms or if it affects others as well as I've not been to many areas in EFU lately!

Any ideas why its now crashing to desktop any time I try to log into the server? I can get to character select, choose a character, and then it crashes right when its reaches 90% loaded.

Try going into settings and turning everything to its lowest, and turn off shiny water if thats on.

Same issue here, was fine until I updated nvidia because of cod ww2...

Tried bumping everything down. Same problem, crashes when I try to connect. Single player works fine. I'll try some other servers and see if they have the same problem.

Edit: Just Checked City of Arabel and it loaded just fine. Gonna check another server, but so far thinking its just Efu.. which is sad because that the one I want to play. v.v If anyone has thoughts feel free to post.

You getting booted immediately is related to haks being turned on or off on a character, and you having or not having necessary haks and files.

Has anyone found a solution tot he missing models yet? Not the missing robes and coats which can be easily fixed, but the actual missing models of illithid/worms/etc? If not, does anyone know a Geforce driver that's not too old that works fine?
