Hey guys. This is probably one of my favorite quests in the game. I particularly like the bonus mission you can do where it takes into account the combined party's efuss sailing check.

However, and I think I'm not alone in thinking this, it seems that the end reward for that section is a little lackluster.

It's my understanding the final chest used to contain various loot. I'm sure this was changed due to balance and risk/reward issues, but I was wondering if the reward could be changed to something a little more themed towards the quest? Pirate swag would be really awesome to have. The regular portion of the quest does a good job of this. Gold, jewels, and neat sea/reptilian themed loot. To go the extra mile and only get a small cache of potions, (cache seems too generous a word here, to me,) just doesn't feel right.

Thanks for what you do guys.

I agree. For there being a cool chest there isnt that much that comes from it. I'd like to see the second part get more for loot. If the DMs are worried that having a cache at the end with potions is too much, change it to gold and gems!

Maybe have the end be a pile of gems with random magic such as acidic stones, colorspray dust, fire ruby etc.

Or better yet, change it back to the way it used to b, at least gear wise.. We have an EXCELLENT "EfU generic" loot table of flavorful drops such as Kuo-Toa, Orog, Rebel, and Knight to name a few. These are great pieces of low to mid level bits, and there'd be no better place to have a hodge podge collection of items then a pirate trove! I dont care much for potions, but this used to be one of my favorite quests for the ability to play dressup, and it feels a real shame to lose it entirely.

First I hear of it. It does not spawn any randomly generated items anymore? At all?

The Void That Binds

The three times I did it, it spawned something like 5 (or 10, can't recall) cure moderate potions in the chest, or some other potions.
I was always just 'one stack of potions' and that's about it - no actual items.

I can second void. It's usually around 15 cure moderate potions and about three random potions.

This is a bug and will be fixed eventually.

Fixed for next reset.
