Relic Drop Rate

Have been playing a guardian for a couple days now and have done quite a few quests. Haven't seen the first relic drop. Seems rather out of balance given there are so many different varieties and guardians can't cast beyond 2nd level spells (which becomes game breaking at the mid-high levels) without a dropped relic.

I don't see how my comment was at all critical or disrespectful. I was just stating that relics don't seem to be dropping and if that's by design then it's kind of out of balance in my opinion.  At this point I think it might even be a bug.  All the other RG's I've spoken to claim they've yet to come across any relics from loot-tables.

I found one a few days back and give/sold it to a character who works in the Library

My two cents since I have a character searching for them as well.  They seem to be rare but attainable.  A Relic Guardian is very probably going to have difficulty finding one which suits their domains, they are probably going to need need to work at it for a while, offer a bounty or recruit some help to get one.  Finding one you can use yourself, by yourself may well take some time.

No comment on balance issues.  I suppose them being rare makes the hunt more exciting?

I think that currently there are high demands for relics because it is new and exciting. Same goes for the Relic Guardian class, many people are trying it out. Drop rates might seem low due to such high demands.

At the same time, once that new class excitement dies down, you'd see the relics all over the place without any pc buyers. Like the monk stances, I have rarely seen a scroll drop whilst playing a m9nk, but I have had many PC offering them to me because they have them and noone uses it.

I'd say give it a few weeks before making adjustsments.

As for getting a relic that is s0ecific to your  PC, maybe it could work like the bard song vendor: 300g for a chance at a 3rd lvl relic.
