Bolton was supposed to tide me over between concepts and it showed throughout the entirety of her character history, because I felt like I was aimless and constantly meandering through character interactions. Also, her stat line was grossly mishandled on character creation. Bolton felt like (and was) a failure in many ways, but I was too stubborn to just retire the PC. Still, there was a great deal of cool shit that went down, and thank you to everyone who interacted with her, put up with her, and hated her -- especially towards the beginning with all the Mutulakt nonsense that was going on.

Bolton was a former slave that was meant to ride the line between duty and order and chaos; she was always on the brink of blowing up and while she held order as a pillar of society, she was always at odds with the knowledge that she was always a servant of order and never the one who was in charge. Eventually, she began to openly disparage the authority she worked under and maintained her own standard of order, and was working towards creating a cabal of like-minded individuals while I reorientated myself with the server.

I don't have screenshots because my computer died a couple weeks ago, but amongst other things, Bolton ended up:
  • Selling people into slavery.
  • Flirting with drow corsairs (once on a pleasure boat, no less!)
  • Engaging in aggressive negotiations with a lich... while everyone screamed at her to shut up and stop goading him with threats.
  • Being an awful Sergeant (woops)
  • Meeting an aberrant demi-god and watching him (her? it?) eat a dread master.
  • Getting sold into slavery (oops)
  • Actually being successful in the occasional PvP sometimes, what?
  • Spending a few days contemplating the meaning of life from a chicken's perspective (cuckcuckcucKAW)
  • Getting indiscriminately dunked by Ferrigan or something.
See you on the next one.

Had much fun slaving with Bolton, and then butting heads with her.  Cheers!

I'm glad I got to see Bolton's last day. Sergeant Bolton totally failed to recruit my Watcher Cadet Sterr Noros (woops), but that relationship (and Bolton's stubborn persistence) really made it for me. Appreciated and well played.

I thought I had more Khessa, but... I do have this much, at least.

Khessa Bolton was a total badass that went around proving how strong a monk can actually be. I believe many people feared her capabilities and found her to stay true to her character. Fantastic job, sad to see a fellow Watcher gone.

I enjoyed my interaction with Bolton very much and I like that you gave zero shits and did your own thing defying your authorities. Well played.

One of the most intimidating PC's Kendall happened to meet. There was a screenshot I'm sorry I cant post of the moments after our first real meeting in the Beetle and Baby, after Bolton breezed through, laid down how things were going to work if he expected her support and blew out the door, no-nonsense. And everyone collectively unclenched their sphincters. A great PC.

If only you hadn't told me to wait...

Always a foe I could count on. Good job!
