"I didnt make this armor!" - enhancing Sanctuary Custom Fitted Armor

I bought a customized Breastplate off Tagnar Nufgenk, had it a while, didn't like my original dyes so I bought some of Lucy's dyes and redyed it. Now I want to enhance it and placed it in the Engraving Anvil and he tells me he didn't make the armor so he won't touch it. But it's clearly his.

When you dye something using a dye pot essentially the item is remade so it won't be flagged as belonging to Tagnar any longer.

Welp that wasnt common knowledge for me. At least the Breastplate is like 500 gold. Guess I'll rebuy it... at some point...
