Sapper's Grenades Suggestions

Hello!

One of our newest additions to the game is the Sapper (See the New Content post), and their main weapon is the Alchemical Grenade

Quote-Alchemical Grenades item, can be thrown once/round. Does 2d6 physical damage to target with additional 1d6/2levels of splash fire damage. Touch attack to avoid physical damage, DC for reflex save for avoiding/reducing fire splash damage is 10 + sapper's dex + sapper's int + sapper level.

Besides the usual one, Sappers may use additional types of grenades each rest. We already have a few, but I'm looking for a few more. The save and physical damage should be left as is, and focus on what happens in the splash part. It doesn't necessary have to damage, but maybe invoke some sort of negative, or positive effect, for a few rounds.

Try to balance it more or less like the damage of the Alchemical Grenade, but feel free to suggest slightly stronger things (or weaker things) as well.

An example for a Grenade's effect we currently have:

Lannister

Corrosive Armour Grenade - Target and those in a small area around the target suffer Level/4 AC loss. 1d2/2 levels acid damage.

Gravity Grenade - Applies a gust of wind/KD affect to targets and small area around, whilst also dealing 1d2/2 levels bludgeoning damage.

Specialised Disruptor "Chainbreaker" - Unsummon 1HD/Level worth of summons in a small target area around the grenade.

Luke Danger

Feel free to tweak these, these are more conceptual than iron hard stat suggestions:
   
  Nightmare Grenade: On-hit fear at Sapper level casting on all creatures in effected region, target hit suffers 2d6 physical damage.

​Purple Crystal Grenade: Does 2d6 physical damage to the target, and 1d8 splash positive energy damage per 2 Sapper levels to all in the blast radius. The physical damage is still done to the target regardless of undead or not, but non-undead will instead be healed by an amount equal to the positive energy damage. Heals friend or foe.
   
  Web Grenade: Does 2d6 physical damage to the target, creates the Web spell at a caster level equal to the Sapper around the target.

This grenade is made from a creative blend of the quick composing "tangle bag" mixture combined with the swirling typhoon stoppered in each bottle of blizzard.

Fast freeze-Gel Grenades - does base damage, aoe effect is 1d4 cold damage with 25% slow non-stacking with save to invoke iced slow status.
Save is 10+int+dex+1/2level Fort



Found only in the darkest corners of the deep are a special kind of mushroom, known for their screams they echo and resound with foul alluring power when mixed with an acidic resin.

Sundering Grenades - Does base damage, aoe effect is 1sonic&1acid//level with deafness and chance to daze for one round.
Save is 10+int+1/2 level Will



Created with a special blend of necromancer teeth and the ground up remains of unhallowed dead, these macabre handhelds seems to scream as their thrown ripping at the very vigor of the target.

Sap Grenades - Does base damage, aoe affect is 1d4 negative v good/1d2 negative against all other alignments/level with save to drain 1 con per hit
Save is 10+spellcraft/5+int+level.Will


 

Anonymous Lemur

Bola Bomb: Grenade does no damage but applies the "bola" effect to all effected targets chaining them to the nearest target (including the caster) DC: 10 + level / 2 + dex modifier. Lasts 1 round / level

This would essentially be an aoe version of the tangle bag effect which links nearest targets and lowers their ab, movement and AC the more they try to move away from one another.

Stranger

Antipersonnel grenades, inflict an an aditional Bleed effect on living, organic targets damaged by the explosion.

Antimaterial grenades, specialized against Constructs. Sonic damage?

Grubber Grease grenades, quirky option that increases vulnerability to fire damage.

Cold Iron grenades, specialized against Outsiders such as fairies and demons.

Poion Gas grenades, leaving a cloud of constitution-reducing poison.

Concussive Impact grenades, effecting a knockdown on splash.

Consecrated Faith grenades , specialized against the undead or evil characters.

Dunwarren Gas Cannister grenades, which instead of having a splash effect, spawn a wandering gas NPC of random color.

Imbued Devilbone grenades, potentially applying a Bestow Curse effect to anyone unlucky enough to be caught in the blast.

Mundigo's Splendiferous Party grenades,target all in radius with Rod of Wonder, a random color VFX, and possibly Confusion.

Shaggastone Fragmentation grenades, powerfully dispelling those hit by the shrapnel.

Formian Flesheater grenades, inflicting Infestation of Maggots on living, organic targets.

Ysinode Willbreaker grenades, causing a telekinetic blast at the targeted location and greatly reduces the Will saves of those hit.

Jultar Banshee grenades, save versus death magic or (at Tala's preference) either be reduced to critically low hit points or die.

Sahuagin Strangle grenades, greatly reduce Underwater Breathing timer of targets if underwater.

Knight Of Pentacles

Eye of Beholder - an eye cut from the stalk of a beholderkin.   Experience either daze, confusion, or take magical damage.
Ravaged Brain - A brain ravaged and discarded by some voracious beast.  Save against intelligence drain..  
Mass of Tendrils - A writhing ball of alien life.  Black tentacle vfx applied to feet.  Slowed by 5 percent and take 2d3 physical damage per round

Mathamune

teleport grenade: all targets hit by grenade are teleported to grenade thrower

silent grenade: creates zone of silence on target hit by grenade

fire brother grenade: flame twin summoned at target

Knight Of Pentacles

Sticky Bomb - When thrown a check is made to see if whether or not this bomb sticks. If it does, then it adheres to the target for a number of seconds before detonating.

Chicken Bomb - A mechanical/alchemical chicken that when deployed (thrown) spawns a chicken which chases the closest hostile target for a round before detonating.

Wild Chicken Bomb - A mechanical/alchemical chicken that when deployed (thrown) spawns a chicken which runs around wildly for a round before detonating.

Saturnalia

Dunwarren heat sink- Ripped out of a greater machine, this cold metal ball seems to draw all the heat from the area.

1d2/2 cold dmg and 75% fire resist to all in aoe for turns/lvl

Phoenix Rising

Tentacle grenade. Like the classic Bucket of Tentacles, but in grenade form.
