Second character ever to hit 9, so that made me happy.


Perry Thorn was a halfling from Luiren who, with the Darkening, found himself falling father and farther into depravity in order to stay alive, and ideally, unenthralled. On the surface, this led him to do despicable things in order to maintain his place of safety in a city that had been overtaken by anarchy and Cyricists (think Murdertown, minus the Balors and probably not with anyone as cool as the Psychopomp). When he got to Sanctuary, he naturally drifted to Lower, a place where he felt freer to ply his trade as an alleyway mercenary and sneakthief.

My intention with the character was that he might wind up being a brutal enforcer for whoever managed to convince him to join them, ultimately winding up with any of the cults. Of all the people, however, the Chosen and Stewards are those who came closest to winning his loyalty, particularly the former, by revealing things that sadly cannot be spoken of here.

The character took many unexpected turns, I think I may have even been a wererat at one point but I'm not sure how the behind the scenes things were working there.

He was a fun character, though I'm not keen on playing any bandit type PC's again. That part of Thorn just wasn't that fun for me or.. well, for anyone, honestly.

Unlike most of my characters, I actually started taking screenshots. Only a few, though.

I regularly wandered through the Machine, exploring quite a bit more of it than I ever had before. Obligatory action pose screenshot!

Perry seemed like an interesting PC, it's a shame we never got the chance to interact more- thought that's probably more on me, because we probably would've got on well with each other.

Mad little bastard. Was great seeing him transition from a nature PC to a Rat-Totem.

PCs that let IC actions shape them are some of the best on EFU. Great example of letting the tide carry you in a direction.
