It finally happened, Ordvuul died and I'm incredibly suprised he lived this long. Ordvuul Grodvar was a cursed barbarian doomed to always fight for a cause; to seek out places where he can fight because it is all the curse allows him to be.

Ordvuul's curse had some stipulations:

1) He cannot break any oath he swears. He is bound to it until release or death.
2) This one was unknown to him - the cursed must seek to serve. To not serve is despair for the cursed.

The curse compels the victim to destroy themselves in service, and if they die they are doomed to rise again and suffer their oaths even longer. There is no control when they rise, turning into a terrible monster, and this a great source of horror and sorrow for Ordvuul who quickly realized he would not even know when he transformed.

He once found himself awakend from his transformation only to realize he was eating a chultan necromancer.

Ordvuul only ever wanted to protect people, which was why he joined the Spellguard Auxiliary, but in his final moments he couldn't protect Celia Riovane from her killers. I'm his despair, Ordvuul swore that he would avenge her or be destroyed. Two drow flaked him, amused by his proclaimation, and drags him to his feet and healed his wounds so they could enjoy the spectacle of watching him fight.

Ordvuul was, of course, defeated or we wouldn't be reading this obituary. But even defeated, he hadn't been killed yet... so he began to beg. He took an oath he knew he could never fulfill because he expected to be killed. So he begged them to end him, and with him the misery of the Grodvar family curse. And when they didn't, he taunted them until they finally did.

And just like he said would happen, Ordvuul died alone. Falling to protect others, he simply couldn't bare to go on.

And he didn't.

I didn't get any screen shots unfortunately, my previous computer had all of them. I might reach out for some loot shots though, since I had cool stuff.

Ironside

Really cool take on the cursed perk.  Fun PC to be around.

grumpy

Fun PC - much enjoyed my interactions with him.

The Old Hack

Ordvuul was awesome and Amber considered him a true friend. He will be sadly missed!

VanillaPudding

Really sick character man, nice work

NothingGoldCanStay

A great PC to be sure. I'll miss him.

Spiffy Has

Yorrick wouldn't be half as fun without him. A+ PC and I wish you the very best.

sharkinajar

A fantastic PC! We've had some run-ins, and I enjoyed all of them.

Elf Lover

An excellent PC. Every interaction was a blast: some times it was hilarious, and sometimes it was really emotional. I hope I'll get to know more of your PCs down the road.

Big Cook

I loved Ordvuul across all the PCs I've played with him around, and always had fun and characteristic conversations. He'll be missed!

granny

Some rot druid has probably received Ordvuul's soul by the Abyss now, arms open. ;)

One single, long encounter that did not end in marriage. Another EFU story that ends without a happy ending. I wonder if Orvduul will be forced to reincarnate so his curse might last another life... poor wretched soul.

Man, Granny I still have to say that the single enconter I had with Blossom was one of the most meaningful things Ordvuul had ever experienced or done. And it screwed him up. I really loved that character.
