WeAllGonnaDie

We have a faction whose duties include among other things, collecting wills.

The default state for handling PC deaths is that the party either loots them, or the loot is given to their friends, which is fine of course, that is just the way the survivors usually decide to handle things.

Some PCs do leave wills but the people who have the dead PCs corpse have no way of knowing this.  I suggest giving the members of the Scriveners of Doom a widget, which when used on another player, creates a token, with a script not unlike the sending stone or ring token, which creates a stylistic, fancy looking scroll which is called "X Players Sanctuary Mausoleum Last Will and Testament Marker" or something like that.  The description reading something like the following:

"An ornate scroll of some sort.  It seems to indicate that the owner of this scroll has a will on file with the Sanctuary Mausoleum and wishes their body brought there."

This way, we have a chance to actually carry out peoples wills!  No one is really going to dump corpses at the Mausoleum, inventories in tact, unless they have a will.  This way people can know if they have a will.

What I did for it was used the writing tablet. The messages name was Last Will and Testament of (name) and the description was the actual will, using lots of spaces to try and add lines to it. Last I was aware writing tablet created messages lose their description after reset though.

We're pretty unlikely to do this, especially when the challenge of promoting wills prominently and enforcing them is probably one of the finer goals to pursue as a Doomscribe. I can think of a number of ways to attempt this offhand, I'm sure many others can as well.
