The Wayfinders...

...are a group formed originally by Zsigmond Kadar and Count Patrice  Vermand to advance the cause of collaboration between the scouts  currently operating from Sanctuary.

This has received an update because not only are we NOT GUILTY of Treason, we are somehow still alive and kicking, despite over a hundred and fifty expeditions and plenty of monsters doing their best. In addition to the old comparing  of maps, the charting of routes, the seeking of glory in the underdark, and  the advancement of the common cause of the remaining mortal races, we have  added a few strong traits!

One way or another, we are going BACK to the surface on excursions to rescue people still trapped.  Naturally, a bold and difficult objective to reach, which will require  politicking and a great many heroic deeds in service to Sanctuary, at a  minimum.

There are also less advertised, perhaps even more essential functions of the Wayfinders that intrepid PCs interested in subterfuge and cunning would be interested in.

We also do "Nature Walks".  It turns out that if you leave the shield with the intention of finding  stuff to do in the outlands, you will often find it! With all that is  going on, we have our hands in a number of different plot-bags as the Eyes and Ears of Sanctuary beyond the shield.

No, we are not paid. Yes, we do have a faction hall. No, our Charter is not yet approved. Yes,  we are PC-driven and you have to be willing to work without support,  sometimes, finding joy and amusement in goals that we set together! But damned if we do not have an excellent group of players  assembled and are still going strong five months in. You'll also probably have to listen to Zsigmond ramble a bit, but I am told that is not the worst thing. :)

Join the Wayfinders, see the sights of the Underdark, and serve the last bastion of civilization!

Interested players and PCs should review this posting and follow up from there in character. If you have questions, send a PM or send me a tell in-game!

Still alive and kicking, despite the best efforts of the Underdark. Join us if you've always wanted to see another side of the server. :)

Vault Shrike

Reformed and open to recruitment again with a proper charter and some better defined goals.

Less now a loose affiliation than a group of serious and dogged explorers seeking to free their fellow sentient from bondage and return them to Sanctuary, alive and whole. Political goals obtained, opposition among the Directorate secured, and hands in many, many extremely dangerous and interesting pies.

Consider joining if you are interested!

I've updated the original posting for this, as the ever-wonderful Moonlighter put up their own faction's cool page. Inspiration! :)

Oh, stop it you!

Well look at this! We have a FACTION HALL. One that we have to pay rent for, but I am not complaining! :)

Stop by Wayfinder Hall and join us! Exploring in the depths and rescuing dragons, our specialties.

Kotenku

This is awesome, you're awesome.

The Wayfinders are currently very active!
It's a good place for learning more about the server- Mostly focused outside of Sanctuary, but with some stuff going on inside aswell.

It's a pretty laid back faction- No real requirements, other than enjoying randomly put together excursions to nowhere in particular.
I'd heavily suggest at least thinking about joining, but I might be a little biased.

Vault Shrike

Laid back but getting a little more disciplined!

We are very active, an excellent place for newer players to get to know the server, and always thrilled to have people a part of the group.

The eyes and ears of Sanctuary see a lot and do a good deal more! Also, I haven't accidentally resigned our lease on the Barracks, so we still have that going for us. :)

The Wayfinders are a formal association, with all manner of foes in the outlands and plenty of avenues for pursuing a character concept!

Whether scout, warrior, mage, or intrigue-driven rogue, having the power to serve as the will of the Directorate beyond the shield offers some potent opportunities for exciting conflict. Needless to say, these opportunities have expanded tremendously since the roaming bands of Svirfneblin and Drow have taken to the roads.

Easy, IC methods of joining can be found at Wayfinder Hall and speaking with any available PC! :)

Vault Shrike

Before I'm divorced entirely from the faction, I wish to simply recommend it for anyone currently looking for a concept.

A grand thank you once again to everyone to date who brought them to this point. :)

The Wayfinders are the newest chartered institution in Sanctuary, and while we've done much to prove our worth we still need to earn the respect of our peers by getting things done!

We're a good fit if you're looking to explore some of the lesser traveled parts of the server, or if you're just looking for a reason to throw yourself into the wilds often. We do regular patrols just for the patrol's sake (TROLLS ON THE LOW ROAD) and we love teaching people the ways of the 'dark. A Wayfinder's life is also pretty dangerous and exciting - I think we have one of the higher PC mortality rates of all the current groups.

A thrilling life on the field, a great group of players, and a few in-game perks all make for a pretty fun group to play with. If you're at all interested head on over to the Hall and ring the bell!

Did the Wayfinders forget that this still exists? Shame on you all!

Everything I've seen of the Wayfinders recently has been fantastic. I can but continue to suggest playing a concept with them!

CondorHero

The Dread Empire has not conquered all of the Surface. Are you a bad enough dude to leap through a portal, kick Dread asses, and rescue peasants? All the while carrying a bomb that detonates if you fail?

We're an equal opportunity organization I think. Most of us are out to do good, but no reason a bad guy can't join. Opens to all concept (though some harder than others)

I'm tooting my own horn here, but I gotta say that we're actually one of the best PC Association out there.

If your PC meets a tragic end, this song starts playing.

The noble, tormented PC can't follow a better path than the path of the wayfinder.
