So, as many of you know, I like to run contests.

Here is a new one.

I would like a text that details (at least in part) something of the history of Sanctuary and/or Dunwarren or EFU.

This text may be written from the perspective of a NPC, your character (whether living or dead), or even third person omniscient.

You may feel to use any OOC knowledge you may possess about the server. You may freely go through the old forums. You may freely insert primary source documents (such as old speeches, flyers, whatever).

The ones I like the most may be used in the module and/or website, and I will reward the player with something quite nice for a character of their choice.

What is the maximum word count? Seven hundred words is the norm for a good newspaper column, fifteen hundred is usually the length of a magazine feature. I could probably write enough for a few chapters in a book if you don't put some kind of limit on it.

Also, what's the deadline?

Howlando

No word count. If someone actually wrote an amazing definitive history of the server for the past three years, they would get something very nice indeed - but that's maybe too ambitious to expect, especially as I'd like to start to see stuff sooner rather than later.

What is the preferred method of submission? email? PM? Reply here?

I have a submission, but its too long for a forum PM. What e-mail do you want it to be sent to Howland?

Although it's probably unlikely due to the fact that some of the old things may still be spoilerish, I would be willing to write up a definitive history for Sanctuary and the major factions (Council, Spellguard, Watch, Tigereye, Seekers, Society of the Ordered Mind, Montezzi, ECT) with access to the pertinent faction forums, though it wouldn't meet your desire to see things sooner rather than later. :)

That said, I'll work on something smaller scale for now.
