The cows did not spawn on this but the wolves did, we proceeded as normal and completed the quest. When turning it in the farmer gave us a bonus reward for 6 cows.

I heard something about people AE'ing the cows and bringing them out of the QA, is this true?

Yes, people have done this, one cow was brought out of the area when this occurred.

EFUQS is finicky... this may have caused it.

Seconded. I was either on this quest, or on one where the exact same thing happened. It was nice to get credit for saving things that weren't there, but still needs to be fixed.

I'm just going to find whoever AE'd these neutral quest monsters and ban them.

Would this be related to the pack mule in the marketplace as well?  Funny stuff that was, looked like they were getting a delivery.
