Let me tell you about Clara Smogson

I originally created Clara so that I could have a better narrative feel for writing EFU fan fiction and filling the library forum full of silly stuff.

Well, as with most things on this server, things didn't go according to plan!

Anyway. Another thing Clara was meant to be was a "light" character. With the rest of my life to worry about, I originally wanted to play a concept that I didn't need to invest so much time and effort into. I didn't want to log in every day and every night.

But of course it doesn't go that way. But, after playing Clara, after seeing the server change and seeing the creative, wonderful players here. I know now more than ever that it can never be that simple. This thing, that we all contribute to, this server, this setting, EFU--it's just something so wonderful that I can't help but throw myself into with full gusto.

I might, actually, take a bit of a break because though EFU is fun and satisfying, all the effort and thought one puts into it can be exhausting and draining. There are always other games to play--the Steam summer sale should be starting any day now.

But we'll see. Hells, I wouldn't be surprised if I roll a new PC tomorrow.

I loved to chase Clara or to run from her.

The stories she wrote, the songs she sang... all of them I only had contact through the forums.

It is the sort of thing that people will run into to answer questions like "How EFU looked like back in Mistlocke?"

And they'll be the resources the many adventurers will be drinking when lost in their journeys.

Clara was cool. A true bard and it was very enjoyable to read her songs :) Admittedly mutual fears made it hard to interact, I think our sole meeting consisted of Racha feeling sorry for Clara getting soaked in the rain and handing her a rather crude native umbrella!
