So! I was walkin round with my druid when I came across a blight retcher, of course it started attacking me and spitting out the spores. However the spores could not leave the head because the spawner was in the way. So when I finally killed the spawner a flood of 20 spores all ran out and hit me at once killing me. So I thought this was a one time occurance oh too bad you know? Well I came across another blight retcher two maps away and the same thing happened (only I Managed to live somehow).. not sure if this was intentional or?... this seems to happen with every blight retcher I cross.

Blight retchers are what made the withering terrifying. The instability of the spore behavior, the stacking - is what makes them a real threat. In the end, you'll figure out a few strategies to deal with them effectively, if you need too.

You're not forced to fight them either, you can also avoid them.

oh i know, im just saying shouldnt the spores start attacking as soon as they are spit out? Thats what they did in the past and in recent events. With this they are just sitting there inside the head so i can't hit them and as soon as i kill the retcher they come pouring out..

Jayde Moon

Pathing issues on the Spores, sometimes they get stuck.  Nothing to be done for it, I would suggest just being really careful when you see that they are stacking up...

Barbarus Kole

As you're attacking it, you can see them getting stacked up. Either leg it or come up with some plan that doesn't involve waiting for them to explode you!

NecropolisV

My suggestion with this info then is lots of summons to take the explosions for you XD

Pentaxius

That's one of them. Either way, I don't think this topic deserves a bug report given the challenge met here is inherent to NWN pathing. Let players come up with effective strategies to deal with challenging/dangerous enemies. This isn't EFU strategy wiki !
