Invisibility Sphere receives double then quadruple duration for SF:Illusion and GSF:Illusion respectively. Any chance we could get this benefit for regular illusion as well?

It's understandable if you don't want to buff Improved Invisibility that's a powerful combat buff, but invisibility (for wizards) is mostly for hiding from danger, and it doesn't last very long.

Ebok

Invisibility lasts forever, what you're suggesting is a permanent invisibility spell. Just look at a single GSF caster at level 9 with an extend slot. You're talking about one 3rd level spell granting someone 72 minutes of invisibility. And a 2nd level spell granting a base 36 minutes.

That's obscene.

ThePrestige

It doesn't have to match Invis Spheres duration. But not everyone HAS extend spell.

Pigadig

I'm not sure invisibility is the spell this suggestion should be looking at. It's rather common and already has a pretty good duration.

If anything SF and GSF should do something like impact the duration of Displacement. Its only use thanks to Improved Invis is being a slot lower so that people can make potions out of it. Which is admittedly nice, but still not really that great for what it should be used for, which is on allies.

If it was something like 3 rounds/level with SF and 6 rounds/level with GSF it would end up being 12 rounds/level extended and so make Illusionists better than just any old scrub at protecting allies with illusions.

Deception

I vouch for Pigadig's suggestion.

Periadoc

I would agree with a nice bump to displacement. I tend to agree that invisibility is likely OK as is.

SkillFocuspwn

Yes, making displacement a valid spell for illusionists is a great idea! 50% concealment for all

Pentaxius

Invisibility lasts for ages already.

Displacement does serve no purpose as a wizard/sorcerer compared to the other great alternatives like haste and the insane Imp.invis past level 6.

Maybe, Displacement could add +1 / +2 dodge AC based on SF/GSF illusion ?

Sancta-Nox

Illusion spell school is probably already the most powerful school, allowing access to conjuration and all buffing spells at the cost of Enchantment (arguably the weakest school).

Really, this school does not need improvements. And our Wizard overlords are strong enough.

Howlando

Not going to happen....

....double sheesh.
