Odd XP wage message

I am not entirely sure if this is a bug or what it was.

I got a message as if it were a XP wage tick "You receive 8 experience points for surviving the perils of the Forgotten Forest event."

I was nowhere near the Forgotten Forest or any events to my knowledge.

You passed through the forest and failed to be eaten by wolves. This will be fixed.

Edit: For clarification, this is no bug.
