OOC Clarification about the Curse

I've noticed some players getting these details confused, and it should be fairly well known IC, so here is some clarification -

Once you catch the Curse, assuming you don't figure out a cure, it will stay with you forever.

If you stay in Withered Lands, it will get bad very fast.

If you catch it in Ymph, but then flee the Island (whether across the sea, into the Underdark, some other plane... anywhere)... it will continue to grow inside you, just very slowly. This is why most of the folk in Mistlocke haven't fled Ymph to go live in Old Port or Calimshan or somewhere. Because even if you go a place far away from H'bala and the Withering and the Mist and everything else, you will slowly wither more and more if not regularly treated.

The special thing about Mistlocke is that it and the other "misterious" areas are the only places where the Withering inside you really doesn't get worse.

Of course, assuming sufficient resources, one might decide to escape the horrors of Ymph and just live with the Curse with regular treatments. This might make sense because Mistlocke is not that nice of a place to live in anyway, but is something that is really only logical if the character is rich or knows of some way to de-wither themselves.

It's worth noting also that the name of the chapter is "escape from undeath" so proactive, creative, story-based attempts to in some way deal with this Withering curse (whether through a permanent cure or something else) are very much encouraged.
