No, not the classes. Now that we have Letoscript and EFUSRE, I think it would be very cool to make a similar system based on PC prestige, a system that rather than levels and XP determining it's scope, it is solely left up to IG events.  This allows the PC to improve their skills beyond phat DM loot, without necessarily having to powerquest so they can get the highest level possible to max out their skills. Essentially this would be like a pc "Learning". Should they do something sufficiently awesome during an event with DM supervising, they could possibly earn a prestige level related to whatever they did.

These "Prestige Levels" could be given IG by a DM IG, without requiring the player to level up and multiclass. They would not be nearly as powerful as a PRC, but serve to further enhance a players prestige in that field.

Example;  Duelist prestige. The PC is a reknowned duelist, and constantly proves their skill at swordplay.  The PC can be awarded a Parry Prestige level, which permanently increases their skill by an amount chosen by the DMs (Probably 1 or 2, I would say).

This would allow much more variety between PCs, imo.
