Magic is in all things. Everything that you see in this world has elements of magic woven into its very being; sometimes the magic in things can be ripped from it in the form of sundered elemental shards. Given this fact, we must assume that magic is in the air we breathe and the light which we use to see.

Any learned man knows that when light hits certain crystal prisms it can give off all the colours of the spectrum. It is my theory that within these individual lights there are bindings to specific elements. There is evidence to my theory that there is magic in the light and air. Purple crystals charge with positive energy but they themselves have no direct link to the positive plane, the only explanation for them is that the light that passes the crystal has a positive charge and this positive charge is then captured by the crystals and stored.

It may be possible through combination of transmutation, conjuration and evocation magics to draw elemental energy from the light around the crystals, change the nature of the energy being collected by the crystals and then direct the energy to create something new.
