The Eldreth Veluuthra, also known as the Victorious Blade of the People.
aka TalibanTal-lithe-ban and Al-Qaeda Elf-Qaeda.

QuoteThe organization saw humans as vermin. It maintained secretive methods while still benefitting from good funding. Some elves would openly encourage cooperation and friendship with humans while simultaneously supplying the Eldreth Veluuthra with weapons, supplies and money. Although outsiders might view the organization as evil, its members believe that they are doing good by ridding the world of humans and saving their fellow elves from human dangers.

In general, elves who were not members of the Eldreth Veluuthra saw the organization as an unnecessary embarrassment. Its eradication is believed to have been prevented due to certain members of elven high society who remained in its favour.

The organization generally benefitted from relations with the centaurs, some fey and satyrs, although they were not above teaming up with evil races in order to fulfil a goal. Over the course of the organization's history, the Harpers ruined their plans on numerous occasions, and the Eldreth Veluuthra delighted in ambushing Harpers as a result. They also targetted human rangers in general, since they were often the precursors to human encroachment in an area.

Some members opposed attacking human druids, since druids were aspiring to the elven ideal that the organization was trying hard to protect. They viewed half-elves as abominations and were committed to wiping them out along with humans. Some members favoured making peace with the drow although this was not a popular proposition. The organization was opposed to some traditional elven enemies such as beholders, evil dragons, gnolls, goblinoids and orcs.

Hailing from the mainland with ties to both legitimate business and criminal enterprieses across Ymph, the local cell of the EV has been hard at work building connections, disrupting human endeavors, and various shady activities.

PCs who are interested in getting involved in the more criminal/exile/wildlife side of the server would be welcomed fully.

While it is a predominately elven faction given the state of EFU and the situations involved things such as that make things exceedingly stale. To that end given their ties to evil humanoids recruitment for lycanthrope, kobold, tiefling, stargazer and similar monsterous style PCs is entirely possible through IC channels. Equally Non-Humans such as dwarves, halflings and gnomes could potentially find place amongst the rank if they proved their zeal worthwhile.

Feel free to swing on by #Elves

I know it's kind of a rare and weird request for someone to make on these forums, but I am uniquely interested in finding a PC who is inclined to play a CN or a NE Druid. Some new perspective it would bring to the movement and in a lot of ways it just seems like it'd bring more life to the notion of what is being undertaken.

The Eldreth Veluuthra has in the past had ties to many druidic circles, both elven and even in some small ways humans are tolerated as they are aspiring to higher views of alliance with the natural world. I only ask as few people consider Elven druids as a possibility for evil or neutral aligned PCs involved in such criminal/conflict stirring activities, traditionally preferring the more neutral or goodly elven deities of the wilds or more common classes for the criminal style the EV undertake.

No special treatment IC or otherwise is gonna be tossed the way of the PC so don't look at this as a bribe, but more of floating an idea that few people have considered so far a possibility for the faction.

Toss me a line in #Elves or a forum PM here if you're interested and I can float you a few more canon details.

I've been involved in this faction, not in any of its major actions but in a few timely moments. There is a lot of room here, whether you have tons of time or not very much, to make a real difference in how things play out. We're a bunch of easy-going elves who just wanna do our thing.

Hey baby, wanna kill all humans?

Deception

Awesome, and well-developed faction with concrete goals and exciting experience.

Not only does the concept itself adds a different dimension to the gameworld, it also adds a different dimension to any elf character : does my elf side with his own kin, does he seeks neutrality, or deems the humans worthy? An elf does not has much for himself right now except a slight bit of exotism compared to a human. This might be an opportunity to make them stand out and get their own colours. We're not forced to make them the classy style of elves with traditionnal backgrounds we're used to see (We can ones too if we want to). Also, many fantasy universes made it different : like Dragon Age or The Witcher. See if you want to make your own type of elf : your Ymphian elf.

Since some people have been asking: We are sticking with the standard canon EV model. Kobolds,  Tieflings, Lycanthropes and other monsterous humanoid/sentient style PCs are indeed welcomed alongside the non-humans. I can't promise it won't be without internal strife but if that floats your boat you're welcome to pursue it.

If you've ever dreamed of giving Lizardfolk, Ogre, Troglodyte, or otherwise a try by all means we'd welcome the opportunity!

Just no Half Elves/Half Drow, Gnolls, Goblinoids, or Orcs.

Nooo, you can't be a troglodyte.
