Well, appearantly all of IRC was aware of a bug I wasn't. That the ox in the Trading Furs quest likes to AWOL sometimes when you transition.

Bugs and glitches always suck, but more so when you just invested 400 gold to do that quest and it vanishes in thin smoke. Now here's my suggestion.

If for some reason the ox disappears, you manage to 'save' an item that falls from the ox. Damaged furs, that when handed in to the trader at Sis Liman, will reward you with 400 gold - the exact quantity you paid for it in the first place. The item would be pretty heavy, I imagine.

It's just my personal little crusade; I find it very frustrating that a buggy quest is used for faction advancement in Clan Caermyn, and it is a real money sink if it goes belly up.

The Old Hack

If you keep the ox as close as possible to you when you transition, it is much less likely to go AWOL.

My suggestion is simpler. Simply use the script used in the Sis Liman Caravan. Which works fine. :)

You might say 400 gp isnt a reason to complain about either, but that doesnt hit the nail. The quest is bugged and has been for a long time now. I dont get why it isn't altered or just simply closed to avoid such problems.
