*cough* You DID kill one of my PCs with lightning once. But you did at least true res him. Annoying to re-sort inventory, but funny.

The night-time, stormy rain is really atmospheric and enjoyable. For some reason, during the day it is depressing. >_>

The Crimson Magician

stop complaining and purchase an umbrella tbh

Joke made in post #2.

Just a tad late. Just a tad.

How in God's name can you guys talk about rain for four pages?

Just because.

Now that Call Lightning depends on rain/storms, I think reducing either would be bad. It might be sheer chance, but I have noticed lots of proper thunderstorms replete with bolts of lightning of late, and its fucking awesome.

Flying Swordfish

The storms are sweet.  Now more people can play grizzled rangers or veteran explorers who are not bothered enough by the rain to move inside Kingsman's instead of standing right outside the door.

Maybe 5% of the PC's even acknowledge the rain, and as far ad standing in front of the Inn, it is hard enough sometimes to walk through there now as it is.

Well that's the whole idea behind constitution and fortitude.  I'm not saying they have any kind of bonuses to their saves, all I'm saying is they will have the HP to take a strike of lightning and survive it.  I think people have played RPGs so much they've lost touch with what HP represents.  It's a measurement of just how many hits your guy can take before he kills over.

It's the same idea with a fireball after all.  Realistically after being hit by a fireball the person inside the plate mail would probably be cooked alive.
