So, the saga has nearly ended for the Spirit That Sings. His host broken, the elusive Warlord has yet to be seen, but it is clear to all that it is nearly over. There is some stuff I would have liked to do better- such as portray the Orcs continuing presence upon the Isle more strongly, but overall I feel it went well.

The finale was amazing, and I want to than Mort and Nickless for all the help lended. Just started this thread as a place to store all plot related screwiest, which I have sadly neglected to take any of myself.

[Edit] Special thanks to NukeCat for running the festivities at Fort Senuspur last week whilst Ortred was on his exodus east, where he managed to miss the Orc host entirely.

Let the pictorial bonanza begin.

It was a very impressive night of gaming. I am amazed at how seamless, lag-free, and just generally terrific the whole event went.

I managed to get a few screenshots, although not enough.

After a long period of waiting at the bridge to the settlement, Grand Larson Burkden leads a group of willing adventurers into the woods to do battle with the immense orcish army waiting there.

Formations!

After ages of fighting - including a quick raid to take out the orcish siege weapons, which sadly I did not capture in screenshots - we made our way to a ruin where the orcs were encamped, and did battle with the exceedingly fierce General One Eye.

After delving into the ruins and stealing some orcish plunder, we were driven back to the settlement. There we guarded the bridge for a long time against huge numbers of orcs.

An emissary arrived and demanded ships. Although I didn't capture it as it happened, you can see in the dialogue here what Grand Larson's response was - a thrown harpoon through his gut.

Eventually we got driven into the Ziggurat, and guarded the gate here. We were ultimately victorious, and having heard that the Stygian reinforcements had arrived, counter-attacked the orcs... heading back into the woods.

The Stygian Infantry reinforcements were a welcome sight to be sure!

With most of the orcs dead, we eventually headed back to the Governor's Tower for some official thanks and awards.

A very well done event, lots of fun and kudos to all involved.

Thank you from so many of us for the work and time you guys put into this DMs.

After being FD'd three times, and not being a part of the PC loot train - I finally realize I don't care.  It's so worth risking it all to be a part of this epic type of stuff.  These are the things you really remember in EfU.

BTW, Nice shot of Quinn getting mauled by a Stygian due to faction
hostile issues at the bridge.   He's throwing an ink dart at the Stygian, and you can see it embedding in his shield.

Listen in Silence must have enjoyed it as he LOLed me in the fugue after it happened.

And thanks again Mort, Dan, Nickless and the DM team for letting us experience this stuff.

Was so much fun.  I was terribly disappointed I had to log before the grand finale in the Zig, but the insane battles in the Webbed Wood were unbelievable.  I only regret not getting a screenie of Belm surrounded by insane numbers of Orcs after being separated from everyone else and left to fend for himself, the path back to the Zig 12 orcs deep.  It had to be the best thing I have ever experienced on EFU.

Kudos!

This was excellent stuff. I only did the first battle part due to time issues, but the full war atmosphere, the deseperate battle, the number of casualties yet the ongoing fighting was awesome.

I am also amazed that there was no lag in regards to all that was going on. Big thanks to all DMs who ran the stuff, big thanks to the players for playing the battle to the death. Great great stuff!

Absolutely terrific!

dispite all the bad things that happened to me in the event, I liked the sense of doom that was impending on everyone, and the epic ending with the calvary coming. (Litterally!)

Still, it was an epic war and it's over. . . . .

Well, I guess I'll just have to wait for what's next!

Great work to all the DM's who did it, can't wait for the next event.
