Except that Drakil is Mexican, and thusly could have had a timezone difference of GMT-8.

As he posted his original leaving message at 8:27PM GMT on the 31st, and his 'returning' message at 4:26PM GMT on the 1st day of the new year, there was a discrepancy of 20hours.

Thusly, anyone from Fiji (GMT+12) would have been EXTREMELY confused by this joke.
