Empowering the Badger

The Badger's of Ymph are underpowered and underrepresented b y the sheer awesome of the badger.  These burrowing creatures are feared throughout the world as ferocious killing machines, chewing, chomping, and murdering their way to the top of the food chain. Each year 78 people are killed by these deadly machines of terror and malice, their evil beedy eyes glow with bloodlust as they gorge upon animals far above the food chain, namely lions and humans.

It has been reported a lion was slain in a duel with a honey badger after it bit off its balls.

I wish these 4hp pathetic animals of Ymph are made properly powerful to represent their audacious skills as predators.

I agree fully. These Badgers are hardly realistic. I mean, they should be capable of over-running Mistlocke. We should be mindful of their little furry rage and not provoke them.

In fact, Cultists of the Black Mole (Praise the Mole, who's nose always sniffles in despite of snow, rain or ice) are put off from their worship because of how little they can defend themselves.

I won't stand for this injustice.

Gotham

Having played a PC named Badger, who had a Badger, I can only concur. Bill the Battle Badger could've used at least 50 more HP and +5 ab.

Knight Of Pentacles

Pursue in game.  Malarite of the Badger Totem. Most vicious predator.

Wait a second we're discussing realism of a badger in a game where you can survive multiple strikes with a sword*?

*HPs do not actually represent entirely the life itself. They also represent the skill and luck of the typical adventurer.

While not top priority i think they could do with some pimping, pretty sure a deer could take one.

Calimport Smoke

Was shocked the other day to almost die from a deer.

Adhesive

I watched a deer one-shot a badger once.

Badgers certainly do need a buff. Badgers, Dire badgers, and a large badger end boss called Fury Badger. 3 attacks per round at +18 with +10 STR mod and 150 HP.

Jasede

tl;dr: Thomas wants to play a badger druid.

Pup

Badgers?  Badgers?  We don' need no stinking badgers!

"Amigo, you just wrote my epitaph."

Playing a simple local huntsman, who preys on Deer and Boar mostly, and actually fears cats sometimes, have to work up a little to beat one up and get their sweet hide, I find badgers very uninteresting, and a wasted concept. They are as easy to kill as a cockatoo, they run from everything, they are not skinnable ... Boars are much more dangerous than badgers... And badgers are supposed to be predators... Well, I know this has no priority, but I would like to express my support to the idea of empowering the badgers, and make them at least a bit feared or more respected. And their hides useful as well.

Knight Of Pentacles

The description of an animal companion badger says once they've taken a bite out of their foes, they're slow to release their powerful jaws.  I've always thought they should have a chance to slow those they hit.  Food for thought!

I just have one thing so say. <3 Talir.

Kinslayer988

This is more of the call of a withered Badgers quest. All sheer badassery of the badger shall be placed in this quest. Levels 2-11
