This awesome DM faction could use some fresh blood. Bring up some applications folks!

Some of the perks!
-Free resting.
-Respect.
-Faction loot.
-Secrets.

Don't think "I'd never get an application to pass..." think "I could always send in an app and see for myself!"

Come on!

Vanquishried

I tried an app for it but my char died. I'd reccomend the stygians to everyone. Man is it an awesome faction! Trying to get into it right now actually.

madaket

It's strange how few PCs represent this major faction in ziggurat politics.

DangerousDan

This faction needs some serious love. DM support would be quite itensive, but few people seem to be apply. Would encourage them to!

Hey hey my fellow EFU:A-ers. :)

The Stygian Armada is, or has been even, looking for more players to don their PCs in the colors of blue and black.  The Stygian Armada offers an assortment of plots, intrigue, rich and detailed back stories, and hidden secrets. In addition some of the direct benefits are:

- Faction Specific Equipment and Loot
- Free Resting and Storage
- Pay from the Stygian Armada
- Respect/Fear of the masses

Contrary to popular belief, the Stygian Armada is not made up of specifically human fighters.  The specific guidelines are listed below:
QuoteThe Stygian Armada

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Stygian Armada is a mercenary group that is situated in Old Port. They have a very 'draconian' code of conduct associated with honour and bravery in the face of overwhelming odds. They are led by one, Commandant Antoine Trenada, the charismatic duelist and captain that is behind their founding.

The Armada is divided under three sub-division each focused on a specific set of duties. Tertrach Grand Larson Burkden is in charge of the infantries, the muscles of the Armada. Tertrach Maria Catharina Sevar is in charge of more covert and diplomatic missions, and finally, Tertrach Sharr'Kall, the Sahuagin Prince, is in charge of his own brigade of hardened sahuagin warriors who joined with Trenada a long time ago for reasons which are kept hidden to most outside of the group.

Sharing the xenophobia common to Old Port, the Stygian Armada only recently departed its home by sending a few of its force to the fledgling colony near the Ziggurat. They have so far collaborated with the colonists of House Sharboneth by agreeing to defend and protect the colony from threats of invasions and from the many dangerous critters that dwell on the Isle of Ymph.

The Stygians, as they referred themselves, are deeply intolerant of any form of destructive magic and ranged weaponry as they believe these techniques of warfare are what dehumanized war as a whole leading conflicts to lose its civility and turning wars into massacres rather than into the beautiful confrontations that they ought to be. Despite its mercenary nature, the Armada has always retained a very fearsome, yet chilvarous reputation amongst the citizens of Old Port.

Faction Requirements:

Application required.
Recommendation from current faction characters.
Survive the rite of induction.
Recommendations:

Classes: non-cleric, non-druid, non-wizard, non-sorceror.
Races: non-elves, non-monstrous races (exception for Sahuagin).
Alignments: non-good, non-chaotic.

If any of you have any questions feel free to contact me via the forum or on IRC.

I can sincerely recommend this faction for any who might be interested. My Stygian Specialist was one of my favourite characters of all.

Could that line maybe be updated considering how many Stygian Infantry and Specialists are parked around the Ziggurat wielding crossbows? And how much shooting Miller did?

I can has fun?

I was actually going to join the Armada with my current PC, but something else happened instead.

Maybe next time. It definitely looks like fun.

dragonfire9000

This faction kicks alley. I've done some RPing and also some fighting alongside them, and they are hardcore.

Risk/reward ration is good.

Join 'em!

Listen in Silence

Miller didn't do that much shooting. She was a dual-wield build.

Oskar Maxon

As soon as she had reached lvl 9, yes. >_>

Behemoth

The truth is right now, the Stygian Armada is almost blown out. It was flowing nicely, but in a few short weeks most of the PCs in it died. I'd highly recommend joining this faction with new concepts and love.

Daz is lonely :(

Lascivious

What? Druids and elves had nothing to do with the drop in Stygian numbers.

Nothing.

::Innocent smile.::

In all seriousness, though, it'd be nice to see a few new Stygians running around and terrorizing the wilds (or maybe even not!). From what I can tell, this seems like a great opportunity for new players to join the faction, mostly because 3 of some of the most influential Stygians have been off'd recently. This gives any player's character the chance to rise up in the ranks and immediately make a name for themself or even take the faction in a new direction.

Best of luck to anyone who joins.

For a long time I considered to join the Armada with a character, since early EFU:A in truthfulness. I was a bit afraid of the requirements, the faction itself and what I role I could play in it. Recently, as some of you may know, I applied and got into the faction. I can say this: what all the doubt did was delaying the try of one of the most amazing factions there is on the server. I strongly urge you to consider the Armada if you are currently looking for a concept and I am sure any of those who have played in the Armada can answer any questions you have.
