I think you'll find the idea of 'team good,' or, 'team evil' are a poor way to categorise groups on this server and it is more of a way for people to collaborate on concepts which would fit well together in an out-of-character fashion. With that said, stay aboard and ask folks in IRC about what groups are currently going to become involved, or if you don't use that, you will likely find characters in-game and in-character notices on the forum recruiting for the setting's main associations.

The best way to get involved, is just hop online and play your character. You will hopefully find characters to team up with over time as you do so.

The problem with this group is that it's not a group... The PCs are already created and IG, so I'll lock this, but I encourage anyone to make new groups to show you the ropes.
