This.

I've never played anything with a level adjustment on efu before, so I cannot comment on any other part of this change.

DM team will never stop the xp, viva la XP!

Am I to understand this correctly, the DM team will decide in favor (or not in favor of) those who have the ability to level quickly and gain loot and XP to pursue their goals?

Those unable to do so will be given a small to large leeway in XP gain, so someone with a history of being mechanically incompetent will gain Xp faster than another individual who can say, get level 7 in a day?

Even then, why should our PvP record be taken into account for this change? Some players can make level 3 goblins seem like overpowered monsters, while others hopelessly get subdued even on a level 10 sorcerer. But that is skill that takes time an effort to accrue. XP gain should not be adjusted to compensate for competency or incompetence.

.1 LA adjustment might seem small, but for PCs who depend on high levels  to survive (A high profile PC is target for assassinations, for  example, and he wouldn't stand a chance with low hp that comes with low  levels, and it means he has to gain XP ASAP, any minor detriment to this  is hindering!

How is this a positive change? :???:

This might seem angst filled, but I don't get why this change was made.

Big Orc Man

This is not an arena server.

This is a story server.

If a player consistently underperforms, that should not prevent his or her successful plotting against others who routinely overperform.

Frenzied

Thanks for this change. I am finally getting the right amount of xp from doing the granary quest.

But I do have a question. If I am getting 1,500 xp per run through the granary, will this effect the output of other quests by making it adjust itself, or will the multiplier stick to other quests as well?

At least I will be able to contribute to the story now.

Pigadig

Only 1500 xp? Clearly you are too much of a power player Frenzied. I am getting a paltry 10,000 xp and I am sure that more of my Granary friends are getting more.

Winston Martin

It seems  like this measure will promote RP over questing, which is great, but is there something in the future to level out potion bloat among players which refuse to stop questing? Maybe they will earn "potion increments" instead of a full potion.

Maybe a player could automatically be placed in a "tier" according to their efusl record and instead of looting a quest as normal each player gets a random loot generator that kicks in at the end of a quest. If they do alot of quests they get say .5 light heal potion, and if they quest rarely they get 1.5 light heal potion.

This would put emphasis on the seriousness of questing in EFUM. No more wordlessly smashing grainary for pots, but because the town needs its grain supply and its either drive the goblins out, or our town starves.

*edit* This would also reduce the need for powerbuilds and ridic. drawn out or horribly 1 sided pvp battles.

Gotham

I suggest putting a LA on Half Elves because of their bonuses
