The Boom King

I've noticed that there are quite a few new players of late, and that makes me happy! I've met a few of you guys IG and you're great. Lots of you have been reluctant on the application process however, which is understandable because it seems like a lot of work at first, I remember.

Fortunately, a lot of us are really cool and are more than happy to help you guys out if you ask, so what this is, basically, is an invitation to ask for help with applications, or really anything, if you need it. Personally I have lots of free time on my hands, and like to keep my writing ability practiced, so it's really no problem.

Naturally, all you other guys who are reading this and aren't new players, can put your name down if you're willing to help out as well, which I know most of you are.

You can find me on IRC usually under the name TheBoomKing or TBK. PMs on the forums are welcome as well.

Apps are easy to make and more than often are approved. If it's denied, a DM is more than happy to show you why it was denied!

Why not make an IRC channel dedicating to helping players out with concepts, apps and anything else character related for that matter?

#efuapps existed a while back, but I'm guessing it isn't maintained anymore.

Apps are definitely easy.
Try to make it intriguing for the DMs.
Also with goals: Imagine them more as themes like what will your approved character be doing and leaning towards.

Also, this forum --> http://www.escapefromundeath.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=355 was recently done to give players an idea of what DMs are looking at/for when they are looking at apps.  I haven't done an app in eons, but it was interesting to see the kind of things they are looking at.  Gave me a bit of hind-sight on what I could've done differently.
[20:20] <crump> nature's not outright trying to murder everyone there, it's playing gentle, lures everyone into a false sense of security. then it strikes. chicago's weather is the bdsm of nature systems

the main thing I can tell you, is to include how the character will interact with other players.  How will they get them involved, what will they do to see that other players enjoy this as much as they will.

When applying for a Faction.. how will the faction gain from your character being there?  What 'void' (if there is one) would your character fill?

Basically, how will this app character effect the server in a good way?

And by good, we don't mean alignment good but "erry body be fightin!" good
