Pass of Rabbanth. Exp wand.. lag..

Heya...

The first time I was on the pass of Rabbantha.. I may have it spelled wrong. I apologize. I was with a group and toke massive damage.. within one round. I even was heading back to town on the path and toke 35 points of damage within one round. Three fortitude saves and I was dead instantly. I asked the group I was with where they saw me and they saw me off the path. On my screen I was on the path..

The pass is lag death trap and for larger groups etc it gets worse... could the pass be reworked so Lag is not the silent but deadly killer?

I had to respawn and lost 5.1 K in exp. Any chance someone could wand me back up?

I asked a few other players and they said lag has killed people before there a few times.

Sorry to hear of your death.  I lag there horribly, so I always go very slow and stay to the back of the pack so I don't get bumped.

Confirming this. I had this same experience with my last character on on of those late nights with no one on. He was on the path to my view and died anyway. Respawned and died instantly.

The area is dangerous. Though I strongly advise lowering the damage to 1d4 magic damage, and increase the damage the further away you get from the path. 1d20 the moment you step off, even with a (high) save, is a bit much.

People are rightfully afraid of the pass as it stands, and I don't think we're going to go off the pass willingly. :)

One time I almost made it across. I died a few feet off the other road.

This area is very laggy and its hard to walk through safely in big groups purely because of the lag, Lag deaths are not fun! :(

When you have to fight in this area it just becomes ridiculus so i wouldn't say this is a bug but should be put in the suggestion thread under change area ^^

Yip. The area due to lag is very uber unfriendly... perhaps a review and my exp back would be warranted :)

I like the kind of dread that the mere idea of taking that path fills me with as it is now, but then again, that IS mostly because I have witnessed people dying there due to lag or the usual pathfinding jumpy behaviour, something that we can have little to no control over.
Also don't know how I feel about the fact that if no one can move the corpse (which is always a great difficulty, even if it's just a few feet off-path), one would have to go right back to the mausoleum default respawn.

Or is one not supposed to respawn from dying there at all? I never was certain about that.

It has not caused my death, but i have experienced this bug before.
