Fighter Background bug

Basically I have reached level 8 twice and each time I was given +2 charisma due to the squire background, however upon deleveling the +2 charisma has simply vanished! I was under the impression that even if your not 8 anymore aslong as you reached it then the bonus would stay.

Not likely, as it requires 8 pure fighter levels. Don't think this is a bug. :)

On Ez'kus I had the Sellsword background, I attained level 8 and then died. I however retained the sneak attack feat. I assumed this was the case with all Fighter backgrounds.

You keep the feat, the attributes, I believe, fade away.

Feats stay due to the unease upon which they are applied. The other bonuses come and go depending on levels. This is true for all fighter backgrounds. Rogue bonus perks are not level based after selection.
