There is no more enduring symbol of Ren-Faires, Medieval Times, Pirate Cosplay, or general fantasy Shenaneganry than the (somewhat) ficticious image of the buxom tavern wench. Oft comely, sometimes hidious, the tavern and inn servant girl is an enduring symble of a less enlightened age when women did not necessarily have the same opportunities as men.

Today, more modern equivilants exist as the Restaurant Hostess, The Hooters girl, or St. Pauli girls.

The Mists End is the hub of all life in Mistlocke. Adventurers go there to get their zz's on, to post on the public board, and to loiter against it's outer wall. In a small dreary village like Mistlocke, the tavern with it's ale and it's arena are likely the only entertainment one can find after a long day of backbreaking labor. The food's good too.

The Mists End is at the center of all Mistlockian focused activities, and comes with it's own Mysteries (has anyone ever SEEN Rosaline? Just who is the Mysterious Major Hood? What DO they keep on the second floor?).

Employee's of all sorts are needed, from cooks, to entertainers, to Mists End Maidens (comely serving wenches) to fight promoters and arena champions. One does not have to be a strictly commoner character in order to work for the Mists End, simply be willing to devote some character goals to the day to day life inside the town.

Historically, Taverns were the only place outside of church people could regularly congregate, and were thus the site of weddings, wakes, shady deals, public celebrations, private celebrations, skullduggery, and other illegal shenanigans. Many barmaids also took work in ye oldeste profession on the side. While we may have Grosse's in Old Stones for the Worst of the Worst, Mistlocke is well deserving of some smut of it's own without a horrible debilitating curse to go with it.

So come to the Mists End. Work for the Mists End. Bridge factions and houses, and sit at all tables.

Build my empire, tavern slaves!
