Do Gnomes get a +4 bonus to Move Silently as well as Hide?  I think their racial description says they do but I believe I've read somewhere on this site that they only get a bonus to Hide.  Sorry if it's posted somewhere under info but I can't seem to get used to the new website layout...

Thanks!

It's not due to being a gnome, but being small.

Small stature

Specifics: Gnomes and halflings are small creatures. As such, they gain bonuses to their attack rolls, armor class, and hide checks when dealing with larger creatures.

So there is no move silently bonus at all, whatsoever; and no hide (+4, if memory serves)/etc bonus if the opposing spot rolls are made by a creature that is also small (goblins, kobolds, what ever).

Halflings on the other hand also have the skill affinity - move silently feat, so those do get a boost in that. Gnomes however just aren't any more silent than a half orc in that regard.

Hope this helps!

All small creatures get +4 on hide/ms, as well as on spot/listen, a +1 on AB/AC, and a -4 on grapple checks.

Do not trust what Bioware put down for the feat descriptions. 90% of the time it's either blatantly wrong or has many undocumented effects, bugs, or features.

In fact, don't trust them on anything.

Here's a few reasons why:
-Magic Fang, and its greater counterpart, grant a DR of X/+X where X is the enhancement bonus.
-Greater Magic Fang improves its enhancement bonus granted one level earlier than is documented. A level 5 magic fang will grant a +2 bonus, not +1.
-Stoneskin, blur, shadowshield, and other spells which grant DR up to an enhancement bonus, will allow creatures with Creature Weapons to bypass that DR (cast Stoneskin on a summon and it will bypass stoneskin, for instance)
-Combust adds the caster level (up to +10) to the damage inflicted each round. It also has a max duration.
-Immunity or DR vs Negative Energy will not reduce the amount of HP gained by Vampiric Touch, unless it is total immunity. Vulnerability will not increase it, either.
-Trident Weapon Focus does not apply a bonus to AB
-Haste has vastly different effects from the IG description.
-Spell Resistance doesn't help against Grease's KD effect.
-Despite being listed as Transmutation, Balagarn's Iron Horn is an Enchantment spell (I believe it is fixed here, though).

I could go on...
