Swapping Out Weapons- Inventory Bug?

Walking along, axe out, I see a pig or something from afar. I swap axe out for bow, shoot pig (or whatever). Battle is now engaged, monsters approaching, I go to swap out bow for axe and find I cannot do so. I have to log out and back in to be able to grab the axe and equip it.

I don't have these weapons quickslotted because I just don't use the bow often enough to warrant taking up the slots, so I am swapping them out by sliding them around in my inventory screen. It only seem to happen in battle, but it has happened to me four times now. Annoying and dangerous! Closing and re-opening the inventory screen does not work. The only thing that works is re-logging.

any thoughts? Is this a bug?

If you try to equip something while in combat it can sometimes get stuck.

This is probably caused by the script to prevent weapon swapping giving an instant free attack.

I think this could be one of those hardcoded bugs that can't be fixed.
