Just wanted to put out there that the Wyrm Watchers are thriving right now and we're still open to some new members.

There's a lot of lore and a lot of flexibilty.

Want to play something that has ties to both Mistlocke and the Greater Island?  Check out the Wyrm Watchers.  Want to be involved in the overarching plots going on with EfU:M?  Wyrm Watchers are involved.

If you want to get involved with the Wyrm Watchers, let any number of current Faction members know and we can chat!

All compatible concepts considered... on the lookout for druid concepts.

The Watchers offer flexibility of concept, just about any and all would fit.

A Case Of Rapiers
"He  is out there, somewhere, Cayrn. Our King. I don't know if he is a  doddering old man, past his prime, or a babe at his mother's breast. But  I will find him, and he will lift this insufferable gloom..."
- Varad Zápolya II, Chief of the Wyrm Watchers

The Wyrm Watchers are expressionists,  philosophers, and adventurers, to  whom myth and history are the same  thing, personal integrity is more  important than law, and the past and  present and future are all one. They are nomadic and questionable,  strangely conservative in their  values, rich in tradition and oral  history, sometimes valorous and  blastingly altruistic, and oft shunned  for their disbelief in the  apocalypse which preys upon the minds of the  people of Mistlocke.

The Wyrm Watchers have been disbanded for close to a century, their   traditions surviving through the hodgepodge family of Argenti gypsies.   Now, the daring Valad Zapolya with claims to direct descent from   Fabrico “the Cartographer” Argenti has re-assembled the organization   under the guidance of the last surviving Wyrm Watcher of old. They   welcome wildsmen and rangers, socialists and radicals, believers in   their King-of-the-Isles-mythos, outcasts, exiled Knights, druids, and   rogues.

The Wyrm Watchers are a faction steeped in server lore to an extent that I simply can't explain here or it will be too spoilerish. They are involved in things that go well beyond the scope of Mistlocke, and out of view of many. They also operate in a sort of grey area between the Mistlocke PCs and the Nature PCs, making allies on both sides for reasons that really can only be clear to those in the faction. We've recently been involved in server altering events, again things that most are unaware of, but will feel the effect of in time.

Our numbers are lower than they've been in a while due to deaths, RL absences and limitations on player playing time, so if you'd like to be involved in the PWs newest DM faction, and probably the least understood because of it, and you have questions, then feel free to ask a Watcher player, or log onto #watchers on IRC and we'll try to help you out.

I found myself curious about this faction and had the very same issue stated in the lastest post. I didn't know enough about them, I didn't think it was something that I could be interested in playing.

Although even now so little remains known to those who are not part of the faction. It is the perfect time to join and make some of that mystery shine through exemplary story-play.

Perhaps an issue is that the faction seems like anybody can be part of it, so its focus is diluted; should I join, should I not join, is it the right faction for my PC?

Let's forget those questions and ask: Why not join and find out what it is all about?!

That's what the Wyrm Watchers are about, blazing the trail.

It is through Art, and through Art only, that we can realise our perfection.

The Wyrm Watchers are awesome... And the faction is preparing awesome things... I really recommend them, join now!

Questing Knight

Once more on the lookout for new members as numbers have been reduced due to recent events.  The Watchers are a very open ended faction and accept almost any class or concept and due to the mystery around the king and other objectives of the watchers there is plenty of room for interpretation.

FanaticusIncendi

Numbers reduced, now's a great time to get in on an awesome faction embroiled in plenty of conflict and interesting plotlines that affect the entire server.

[20:20] <crump> nature's not outright trying to murder everyone there, it's playing gentle, lures everyone into a false sense of security. then it strikes. chicago's weather is the bdsm of nature systems

Just wanted to send an outgoing plug to the Watchers - amazing group with tons of stuff to offer mostly any character type. If you want high adventure, to pursue the secrets of the island, or get embroiled in some machination or another regarding the Crown or the Heir, look no further. The Watchers are awesome.

Blackthorn51

I'd like to join.  I've sent an application in.  My PC was involved briefly with several Watchers, most of whom are dead now.  He currently adventures and works with Marco Ravenclaw.

I think the Watchers still need some more PCs

While we are short on numbers at the moment (3 of us, 2 of which have sketchy play times) and a few more possibilities  ... I will give some extra food for thought.

[pulls out her mama-kat soapbox]

We are fairly open to a number of concepts and ideas.  We're fairly chaotic and oft times one hand doesn't know what the other is doing necessarily.

However, (insert my small rant here), I'm hoping this doesn't mean others look at us as a "dumping ground" when they want to get into a faction but the others don't work right.  We do have actual goals and structure however loose it may be.

Some things to read:

[kicks soapbox to the corner]

Anyway ... if you think it fits for you ... come on and give us a look-see

The Watchers are really picking up lately.  We've got some great roleplay going and a lot of activity from both Players and DMs.  If anyone is curious about the Watchers and want to join -Now's definitely the time to do it!

Hi, I'm a new player and I'm interested in joining the Wyrm Watchers. I'd like a chance to meet one or two of the faction members on the server and do some RPing with them first, so that my characetr can have some contact with the faction before I apply to join. Should I keep an eye out for anyone in particular? My character is:

Wimaral Elahan
Chaotic Neutral Half-elf barbarian
Being a member of a tribe with strong customs and a sense of community, he is keen to find a home in some faction, and one that emphasises strength and self-sufficiency would suit him well. He is also unimpressed with the infighting between the Caermyn and Aberden clans, and respects Chief Argenti's stance on the conflict.
