Amadeus Aethersee was born into a noble wizarding family amongst the Ar-Tel’Quessir. His affinity with magic and the weave was quickly realised and his teachings began at a younger age than it did for most children. Although not everyone approved of this early training they would not openly object as the entire house recognised that the child was born with a gift that should be nurtured.

His life changed at the age of ten when the family left the isle of Evermeet in order to visit relatives in Silverymoon. As they journeyed out, their caravan was assaulted by bandits shrouded in shadow magic and Amadeus was separated from his parents â€" a powerful spell of sanctuary was placed on him and his mortally wounded cousin would expend her last breath to see them both within the relative safety of Silverymoon city. It would later be learnt that this attack and even the convoy itself was a clandestine Eldreth Veluuthra operation.

There he would spend the greater portion of his life, with a half-elven surrogate mother, vowing to find his parents, mastering his Art by spending his life in the libraries of Silverymoon and impressing several wizards enough to earn their teachings. He followed the path of his father, working to perfect his artifice under the guidance of Corellon Larethian whilst pursuing The Mother of all Magic’s secrets of the weave with the fervor of an edan...until the day he arrived upon the Ziggurat.

So to clarify. Amadeus was not a typical sun elf; he was not even a typical elf. He was twenty five years old before the Second Great Shrouding of Ymph; why indeed, he was but a baby elf. Many people wonder why Amadeus was the way he was - well, I am glad to reveal that he was that way because he was a child? Ever imagined what it would be like to witness the elven ubermensch stereotype without its centuries of practice, training and cultural exposure? Well, that was Amadeus.

His exposure to the extremist Eldreth Veluuthra made him avoid and despise extremist views; yet he could not deny the fact that -he was better than EVERYONE ELSE.- So, whenever Amadeus called you "friend," called you "dear fellow," called you ", good [insert name]." He only did it to keep you on good terms, the young fellow may well have despised you inside, he knew you were nothing in comparison to him and he often lamented why he must even -TOLERATE- your pathetic presence, but showed to the exterior world, that he cared. Amadeus watches Veteran Danyal Saircrost of the Stygian Armada versus Thane Durgrim Blood of Argrim of the Felhammer and the Golden Alliance in the Arena of Targus. A very long battle that saw both combatants drinking many, many potions.



Amadeus as an umberhulk versus a grey render (usual day in the life of an herbalist)



As a Patrician of the Dominion, Amadeus was a true patron of the Arts. Here he is with the now reknown Abigail Nightal advertising and promoting the fine bardess.



Here is Patrician Amadeus, the Master of Ceremonies for the first official and successful Abigail Nightal play upon Ymph (within the Velvet Mask). Hear ye all, that it was the patronage of the fine elven Patrician that saw this bodacious and alluringly dark seductress achieve success early in her career.



BigOrcMan as the Azuthan Horace Highwall was a Conclavist Paladin with an attitude. He was BOM's first Amadeus friendly PC (to my knowledge) and here he is destroying PanamaLane's Sventlana's Imp, with Amadwarf forced to watch as a neutral observer on behalf of both the Conclave as Caliphar and the Dominion as Patrician.


The moon elf maiden, Baklak Trollspike had forced Amadeus to kiss -his/her- boot in order to re-attain his Patricianship papers as the Veteran decided to allow Baklak to take charge of the affair. Amadeus was forced to kiss elven Trollspike's boots and only did so because in his mind he was kissing the boot of his kin, not a fugly dwarf. Eventually elven Baklak would die to Orcs somewhere and Amadeus would come across his corpse in Felhammer hold, herein, Amadwarf would do things with Baklak's corpse -including drinking her blood- in a sign of -chaotic neutral pleasure and vengeance.-



Rena Aethersee (dwarf-mode), wife of Amadeus Aethersee would suicide by taking the death jump upon the cliffs of the misty mountains down into the stonehand coast waterfalls after suspecting that her beloved Lord perished in the dwarven tunnels with the rest of clan Felhammer and their mercenary crew. Amadeus of course would survive which eventually came to be a trait of his and here he is, with the Madame LaRue's Coven aiding him in resurrecting her THROUGH THE POWER OF LOVE!

SHE COMMIT SUICIDE! (Sorry for the lack of chronological order, I might fix it up later if I can be bothered - basically, this comes after Amadwarf is forced into killing his beloved wife, Rena Aethersee)



RENA YOU EVIL WOMAN - YOU AND THE ILYTHIIRI CURSE FORCED MY HAND! You are TEARING ME APART RENA! (I uttered those words IC because I felt it fit in. At that stage, Rena was -truly- tearing Amadeus apart. I also had no idea of the movie "The Room," wherein the words "You are tearing me apart, Lisa" were uttered.)



Right here. This is where Amadeus' heart shattered into a -THOUSAND PIECES- this is where Rena fled from her beloved. This is where, instead of joining Amadeus in their -LONG SOUGHT AFTER- cure, to become elf and human once more, she chose to run away. This is where the tormented soul of Amadeus was forever destroyed, this is where Amadeus became the -FORSAKEN.- To be spurned by his lover was the culmination of the drow-ilythiiri curse. I insist that it was the curse that made Amadeus kill Rena. Yet... you will see as you witness Amadeus final demise, that he was unfairly persecuted for what he was. In his heart he only -ever held LOVE.- The curse of the ancient dark elf race is beyond mortal cognizance...



[The first of the Rena Death screenshots, not in chronological order for your inconvenience] So here it is folks. Those few who ever heard first hand from the good elf form Amadeus of the fate of his betrothed. "She called us mortals and mages and fled from me, abandoned me, forever leaving me alone, without the love of my life." This is what he meant; Rena was a cruel, cruel B!#!%. She was, at the end, not so selfless as Amadeus had thought when first he chose her as his Consort and lover. Indeed, Rena and the Ilythiiri curse (which only came to pass because RENA wanted to become an elf and force Amadeus into forsaking the opinions of his ancestors and kin) made Amadeus the -FORSAKEN- creature that he turned out to be.



I like to call this one the Moonwalk:


After reverting to to his true form, Amadeus acquired a great stutter and this manifested as a slight stammer in its least affective form. This made him very similar to a certain very long term yet very background PC by the name of Mia Elowendir. Here we are, two very deep elven characters stuttering together in meaningful yet broken speech. PS: Player of MIA: YOU ARE AWESOME!



Amadwarf was there when RWG's beloved Marrozhentul was owned by the Nightrisen and destroyed / converted.


Marionette the Halfling genious of a puppeteer was Amadeus' first -FRIEND- on Ymph. (Yes, beyond the Mesmerte Sisters) Please check out Amadeus' journal for details. Anyway, here she is after the player took a break to return when she reached level 9 and teleported him around the place and granted him an exchange of her recent affairs in the Dockslands. PS: Player of Marionette: YOU ARE AWESOME!

Amadeus Athersee was a Patrician of the Dominion, he was a Noble by Blood and Law and here he is, partaking of one of so utterly many negotiations and meetings within his Chambers of Aether Elysium. Aether Elysium by the way was the name for Amadeus' elven haven. This is where he had eventually hoped to oversee and ensure the elven people on Ymph would never find themselves without purpose on Ymph ever again.

The Heart Of The Matter:

Several PCs were granted knowledge of Amadeus heart trinket. Most of them were Paladins who saw the dark past that made Amadeus who he was ever since he overcame the ancient drow-ilythiiri curse which, in culmination forced him to consume the soul of his betrothed. He was never an EVIL PC, he was merely misunderstood and had a dark past. He always aimed to do good in the world and for the majority, yet understood he was superior to everyone around him; not his fault, simply fact for he was Ar-Tel'Quessir: Noblest of all.



After Amadeus acquired the Heart of Rena and placed it around his neck. Our dear friend NuclearCatastrophe decided to play a practical joke by making all of Amadeus' spells fizzle due to Rena's influence. Here he is, in his Chambers of Aether Elysium after -ALL OF HIS MAGIC FIZZLES- due to Rena's spirit struggling within the amulet and disturbing his concentration. PS: NUCLEAR CATASTROPHE YOU ARE AWESOME!


Amadeus was reclusive about his alchemical prowess and recipes until his first most promising apprentice, Lilenia Gates aka LILY played by Drakill Tanan appeared. He taught her the basics of everything he knew. Here he is, having taught her the recipe to the FROSTBEAD CANISTER which she failed and was engulfed in a sphere of ice for. This is the same failure result that the tiefling in Mistlocke, Helfesh or w/e played by LTS was destroyed by Evard's Tentacles cast by Amadeus in an attempt to remedy the situation: "The theory was... theoretically sound!" ;P



Amadeus was the only non nature PC who had very strong links to those who descended into H'Bala's tower to free her (although the fools thought they could destroy her withered little hiney.) Here he is, speaking to the sole survivor and his dear, dear friend, Gax'thoe the Frog as he Frog recounts the affairs within H'balas tower before revealing it even to other nature PCS!!! Amadeus held many, many secrets which he rarely if ever revealed to others. NOBODY knew EVERYTHING he knew.



Here is Amadeus, having convinced his dear friend Gax'thoe the Frog; sole survivor of H'Balas release into visiting the Trancendent Conclave and allowing of all magi, Hyrsicator Thrask Morv to take a sample of his blood. Gosh I love Gax'thoe and Amadues: YOU ARE AWESOME!

There is something to be said for dwelling in a floating Netherese Temple to Mystryl, safe and secure from one's enemies, with easy access to lore beyond the dreams of most researchers.

- Zeulisad Qadima. Yes, Qadima was the chief influence for motivating Amadeus to join the Transcendent Conclave. PS player of Qadima: YOU ARE AWESOME!



Prior to the Mistlocke and heck even throughout his -WHOLE EFU:A CONCLAVE career- Amadeus barely ever stepped into the Floating Enclave. As a Patrician he had his own building in the upper chambers which were opened by the benevolence of DM: TALIR (PS: YOU ARE AWESOME!) to establish his AETHER ELYSIUM headquarters, which were only ever meant be temporary headquarters until he could see the elves of Ymph in action...(never happened, thanks to elves -ALWAYS DYING- -ALWAYS considered as PainInTheAss to play PCs-) So he never had to step far beyond his lovely headquarters. A noble through and through yet one playing on all sides. (He sold wands to the docks, STYGIAN CHUMPS!)



Jenia Amraphen would come to become a minor influence of the Shining Hammer Society of Mistlocke. This is where Amadeus and she would become slightly closer attuned. Here is the episode where Amadeus and Jenia survive the destruction of the underground networks of the Dwarven Stronghold built by the -ABATTHORAN, Thane Dalgad Garette.-

The XP gain is from when Trenada -barehandedly strangled the female ruby to death with his chains, GO TRENADA! FOR THE ARMADA!-



Chancellor Amadeus Aethersee the dwarfmode is inducted into the Transcendent Conclave. He does not acquire a consort for -SEVERAL MONTHS- due to both not looking and not caring about rank (elven mindset.)



The Sublime Council of Aether Elysium held many secrets, including a legion of DWARFADEUS clones.

Alchemical discoveries -CAN- lead to POETIC advancements an arcane rituals of unknown power.



Amadeus recites an arcane-divine ritual/prayer to Tel'Seldarine in the Dockslands.


All my prominent EFU characters (archipelago) have thus far arrived in prison, i.e. the wrong side of the law, despite being law-abiding citizens looking out for not only the greater good, but general prosperity. Here is Amadeus, jailed for burning down the upper level interiors of the noble areas of the ziggurat, after a goblin assassin -MURDERED- his guard. fIREBALL in public places, even if it is accidental due to a spellcinder canister, will result in consequences.



Way before Mistlocke, way before he was a conclavist and early upon the days of his time on EFU. Amadeus was involved in his -in three years time to be consort- Graham Greyfell's archaelogical expeditions. Here he is, as the Archaelogist leads his troupe and a group of outsiders to the Ilythiiri ruins. Amadeus herein explains the texts written in the verse of his ancestors to thsoe gathered.

It is with great pleasure that we present the manifesto of the Transcendent Conclave Apothecary Society, otherwise known as The Apothecarium or simply the Apothecary Society.

The Apothecarium is an initiative of the Transcendent Conclave as developed by the Triumvirate’s chosen Emissary, Caliphar Amadeus Aethersee. However we not only accept members from outside the Transcendent Conclave but are here for the benefit of all existence.

We are a consortium of magi, alchemists, herbalists, researchers and merchants who exist to provide our magic, our artifice and our wondrous creations to the community to enhance and improve the quality of life of all who share in the truth of existence.

Amongst our goals is the ultimate objective of curing the Withering Curse of the Maiden through application of its study and pursuing our alchemical research.

We furthermore intend to offer our guidance and counsel on all matters involving the Arcane within Mistlocke and the rest of Ymph to any and all who desire or require it.

Our current headquarters are located within the upper bookshop of Curios and Epistles and we welcome all inquiries therein or during our sessions within the Mistlocke marketplace.

Upon the completion of one of Archaelogist Graham Greyfell's ventures, Amadeus remains to practice herbalism upon random reagents found within. Here, he and his chicken familiar encounter a -VISITATION FROM THE ABYSS!- Many of those who ever learnt of herbalism or alchemy or even education on chicken familiars would learn that he held constantly and unanimously that these poultry were from the -ABYSS.- HERE IS PROOF, CHUMPS!

Dalgad Garette, way, way before he came even close to becoming the Thane of the Dwarves of Felhammer. Here he is, invited by Amadeus and Graham Greyfell the Archaelogist to partake of an investigation in the Smash. This, my friends, is why Amadeus chose Graham as his consort of the Zeulisad Degree in the Transcendent Conclave. This man, helped him very mcuh early on in his career: PS: PLAYER OF GRAHAM GREYFELL (I.E. WREXSOUL) THOU ART AWESOME!

YMPH DOES SOMETHING TO ELVES! Here is an -INSANE- elf, torturing a Sharran (secret, as he declared himself a servant of Oghma) monk while Amadeus watches and does not react, since it is an -ELF- upon a -COMMON HUMAN.-

Here he is, quite likely witnessed by ShadowCharlatan the Sabuthan (playing that newspaper guy, don't recall his name as of the posting) as he prays to Corellon Larethian and Tel'Seldarine for guidance. SC's character of course plays upon the fact that the Sons of Sabuth might help establish an elven sanctuary, of all places, within the DOCKS! Yeah. Dockscum, indeed. PS: SC, we love you.

An elf who fell from the floating enclave only to fall into three years of mist induced slumber: Amadeus Aethersee, Awoken of Ymph![/tface][/COLOR]

Born in Evermeet as a child prodigy to a noble sun elf wizarding family, Amadeus was taken away at the tender age of ten in a facade that was a clandestine Eldreth Veluuthra recruitment/conscription operation. After surviving the incident, he was delivered to Silverymoon city, where he researched magic with fervor to uncover the loss of his past under the care of a half-elf surrogate mother, whom he largely held no feelings for.

He possesses the facade of tolerance and genuinely dislikes extremist attitudes, due to the events of his life along with the fact that he spent half his life in Silverymoon; one of the most tolerant and culturally diverse places on Faerun.

In his early time on Ymph, during EFU:Archipelago, he has been through various trials and tribulations, varying from persecution, ill treatment, blood sucking spider shifting druidess attacks and most notable of all the Ilythiiri-drow curse that transfigured him into a dwarf. This has created an extremely potent level of paranoia and distrust in his mind which always had the exception of not being applied to other elves.

This however changed come Mistlocke and now he sees under a lens that reveals almost everything and everyone around him as unreliable and untrustworthy until proven otherwise; perhaps rightly so.
This distrust does not spread to his esteemed leader, Oracle Razul of the Ninth Degree and as such Amadeus has become incredibly loyal to the Transcendent Conclave. And this is where our new journey unfolds.

Character Alignment & Attitude: I no longer pay attention to Amadeus’s alignment as I believe it is rather irrelevant. He is currently Chaotic Evil, primarily due to slaying Rena as the culmination of the drow curse. His actions however are mostly guided for a desire to do good in the world and himself and his methods are various. He is chaotic, although he does possess his own complicated moral compass and can often seem like a lawful character. Despite the belief that he is surrounded by betrayers, he does still allow himself to form bonds with people, somewhere in his mind knowing that they could betray him at any moment; he takes the risk anyway.

Let's begin with the farewells of EFU:A and the Fall of the Conclave event before moving onto Mistlocke. I have remarkably few screenshots from Mistlocke as Amadeus, which is somewhat disappointing. Here is Amadeus saying farewell to dear friends who attempted to convince him to join them in the mountains rather than join the conclave's flight. It was a pity these friends turned out to be seen as BETRAYERS after they arrive in Mistlocke.

A glimpse of the battle as undead wyverns assail the enclave and her defenders.



An undead archwizard at H'Balas behest arrives and unleashes hell upon the conclave. He is later cut down by Drexia with the help of a consort.



She is come.



Betrayal within... Corruption lies at the core.



His fellow stuttering elf, Mia Elowendir be a strong part of Amadeus's early Mistlocke affairs.



Amadeus's unwavering loyalty to Razul as he utters his oaths for the first time in the beginnings of a New Netheril, a revamped Transcendent Conclave.



A caliphar.



His most promising apprentice who he secretly allowed to wear his robes to help avoid alchemically induced death.



It seems madness follows in his wake.



His methods were not always easy to understand, but almost always productive. Here is Amadeus advising the apprentice in the comfort of an axe idiots loincloth.



The magus who tamed Neerix Valashar. These two were very closely aligned after the transition to Mistlocke. An impossibly potent partnership full of many slight intrigues and constant thoughts of betrayal or at least the outward showing of fear.



Just something else.



Ah. Rufus Taxe Ricimer Descreza. What a wonderful character. Amadeus and he got along remarkably well. I highly suggest reading Amadeus's journal entries relating to the relationship these two had. Indeed, Rufus was there when Amadeus died; an offer was made, one that Amadeus would have accepted were I as a player more aware that death was in the cards. A true shame to see the player leave.



Elves in the Mist.



Final words with Bloodmage LaRue before she is retired. "We are all free to choose the paths in life that we deem fit."



Feywilds! The Unseelie Court and the game of Russian Roulette styled Musical Chairs was my most salient and immersive EFU experience so far. Kiss the hand of thy Prince; become part of My Court. Yes... Amadeus lied. He was not saved at all. By now Neerix had changed his perspectives greatly, lies and the weavings of deceit were second nature by this time. Hidden his inside from everyone, always. Until his demise...
