Can the Scout script for rogues be applied by a DM to other PCs who are nature oriented so we aren't harassed and heckled by the vexatious animals of the wilderness?

HaveLuteWillTravel

Aren't rangers "nature rogues?" And there's already a script in place related to a PC's AE ranks.

Spiffy Has

There is, but I would like a perk perhaps similar to the SCOUT for wildling PCs. It's frustrating when you're pinned by a pack of wolves and your PC really shouldn't be killing these wolves.

It's for classes without AE ranks.

The Beggar

Come on Spiffy, BE the alpha male.

Knight Of Pentacles

I once applied to have something like this applied to my stargazer.  Not likely it'll be implemented any time soon. . .

Drakill Tannan

Pfft, you should make a noticable effort not to kill them! You can use sleep, fear, invisibility, or you can outurn them. Be creative!

Kill the animal like anyone else. You're its food, it's natural. Do this and learn the double standard the wilds artificially drops on other people. Kill what's red, it's good for the blue team.

Arch Rogue

Use stealth/invis...

Wouldn't be right for a stargazer of the wolf tribe to walk around indiscriminately killing wolves.

Blue41

A perk like this would be one more reason for peeps to avoid putting points into AE. You're not going to lose nature cred for auto-attacking the occasional wolf.

Aro'wana

I think this would be a viable suggestion for characters that have made in game steps toward being more understanding toward the animals of ymph, and are more comfortable in the wilderness - perhaps something that could be apped for that would be appropriate for a select few characters; similar to panpipes for example.

xXCrystal_Rose

If done it should be something a DM wands a specific character, yes. Also the favored class of stargazers is barbarian. There goes your stealth, invisibility, and any magical solutions right there.

Drakill Tannan

I don't get it, why when somone suggest this it's ok but not when i do?

Ebok

It's not okay, it's dumb.

The simple fact is: If you want to live in harmony with efu wilds, you are going to need a high stealth, some manner of concealment, or some serious AE skills. The classes that are most tailored for living with the wilds have these. For everyone else, get over it.

Sure it would.

Stealth and Invis or they are a bad wolf. Totem's dont mean you are of their race, just that you worship them. In some cultures that actually meant testing yourself against the animal. Otherwise you can always say those packs are not your pack and its a territory stance, you can say that your packs stay hidden in the woods, you could learn how to get past them, etc etc.

Just cause you live in the dangerous wilds, does not mean the dangerous wilds ignore you.
