Galleous had a pretty good career for a drunken dock worker who made it as a wizard.

He started with a dream.



He aimed for it, never taking his eye off.



Except to harass Jawl Highwind when she possessed her familiar and wasn't paying attention.



He sought out the aid of powerful people.



He earned their friendship, or at least tied them to a bed for it.



But he always worked well with a team.



Then he made enemies, who sent assassins--who he sent away flaming.



By the end of his career though, a sadistic prick got to him.
