Would be a high level (5th circle) druid spell, but the "sun" and "rain" facets of it might be open as domain spells to sun and storms domains.

Pretty simple really.  3-4 uses:

Make it sunny
Make it rain
Make it foggy
Make it storm

Duration of each would be independant of the caster resting, lasting maybe 8 ig hours.

Discuss.

you axed for it

I for one definitely approve of this, assuming it can be scripted.

Spiffy Has

Hmmm

CALL LIGHTNING SPAM

Arkantos

Give certain domains or clerics the spells as well:

Aurilian frosting it up
An ishtishian making it rain

Aethereal

Given various in game research projects in the past and the fact that there are remnants of a Netherese weather controlling device upon the isle it may also be something pursued in character by non druids.

If something like this is implemented anyway.

It is through Art, and through Art only, that we can realise our perfection.

Drakill Tannan

But it should me more avilable to druids than non-druids.

VanillaPudding

Clerics and Druids draw their power from the same place, so no it shouldn't be more available to them really. Adding this to some of the domains would be great.

Bearic

I would be worried about server lag, but if it only effected one area and could only be done so often like teleport, it might not be bad.

Paha

in my opinion and as I've understood, druids draw power, even if divine, from nature through a possible patron nature deity. They are not exactly clerics, whom are given their power by their God.

I think it could very well be possible to achieve IG if you pursue it, but I would not wish it to be an actual spell available out there for everyone that could achieve that level. I feel it to be too specific and special power for everyone to be able to do.

TheImpossibleDream

I thought efu already established that weather changing is a massive gigantic thing, beyond a mere level 5 or even 6 spell. Referring to the old weather manipulating device plot if anybody remembers that one.

I approve of this and know for a fact it can be scripted.  Especially with such talented developers that we have here on EFU.

It's extremely hard to get to level 9 on EFU, so maybe less than 10% of  every druid/cleric would be able to cast this spell.  Even then, there's  very little mechanical benefit to it other than being able to cast  'call lightning'.

Kiaring

I think it could be appropriate as a level 5 spell, bearing in mind that we already have at least one such spell (that I know of) - Raise Dead - that is not only dependant on caster level, but also contingent on a number of factors (such as devotion to the deity, for example).

Divine Intervention

This seems cool so long as call lightning's damage is nerfed, otherwise storm domain clerics could change weather then sit there with normal and empowered call lightning.

This seems to me like a reason for a mundane cleric/druid controlling the weather may be simply impossible.
