Basically i think sorcerers should have their class level added to herbalism like rangers and druids. I see no reason why sorcerers would be better at or choose alchemy over herbalism.

A good example would be the sorcerer quest giver that asks you to collect various herbs for her. Plus sorcerers need some cool stuff to make them more desireable to play.

Arkantos

I think that bards should have their level added in alchemy or engineering.
I agree with him.

Sorcerers can already be good at herbalism provided they have Lore, Heal, and the Herbalism EFUSS skills selected. They don't really need the class bonus to herbalism in addition to the one they already receive in alchemy.

Bards have lots of skill points and an arbitrary lore bonus already, not to mention the best UMD checks to help them get by when it comes to certain advanced aspects of these systems. I don't see a need for a balance here.

Relinquish

If you're super-alchemy or super-herbalism focused, the DMs can unlock the EFUSS system to let you take more than 10 points.

From what I know, Sorcerers are more wild type of mages, drawing knowledge from other sources than mages.
They are not scholars, which is represented by the fact, that you use charisma, in place of intellect, for your spellcasting potential.

I think that it is not really needed, and as Relinquish stated, DM can unlock more levels for you if needed (for the price of other skills, but you are not the bookworm type).

BUT, I see that you mentioned something about alchemy, and this bugs me, why would sorcs get bonus for that? For balance?

Staring Death

Sorcerers aren't more wild. They just have an easier time thriving in the wilds than wizards, since they don't rely on books.

However, for everything else, their magic is the same.

I'm afraid that it would be fiercely impractical for reasons which I cannot elaborate on. Locked.
