well publicly seems to have the most effect as dms otherwise say "your still banned" and they dont even look into it. Core banned my other forum account for the reason: no reason and the time ending of :never

An easy solution to feeling terrible is to not do anything that warrents being banned in the first place, then you wouldn't be in this position. Attempting to break back into the server won't really accomplish much other than digging yourself deeper into a hole, my advise is to wait a while, mature a little, then request politely that the DMs un-ban you and appologize for what you've done.
 
No DM is picking on you. When you break the server's rules you get a punishment that is appropriate for the situation.
