i enjoy how if you keep refreshing you can get a stretched out image of people's original avatars

AllMYBudgies

I quite like the avatar changes, actually!

PlayaCharacter

That thing on the top banner looks like Michael Jackson in Thriller.

Cannot unsee.

EDIT: Looks like I got to keep my avatar.

tropic

I love you... and we're going to be together.

Luke Danger

Alright, this is turning into insanity, lol. The change of avatars is a bit weird.

I'm scared.  Someone hold me!

Quote from: Relinquish;243278I was skeptical about something similar, but rather the end of the server entirely.

Njae, dunno man.. The banner up there says Be Reborn though!

Cannot unhear!

Not that I'd want to.

Now every time I see the banner I hear Thriller in my head...

I have been accepting so far. The making of minor cosmetic changes is something that, even though ridiculous, are not harmful.

The deliberate and willfull DEACTIVATION of a vital forum function, however, is very much over that line.

The avatar is a vital part of forum operations. It allows people to quickly identify the poster of a message, and makes the use of the forums greatly more efficient.

Now, however, it turns out not only that users are alotted one of several random avatars in favor of their own, it also turns out that every time a page is refreshed, they have not only a DIFFERENT avatar, but in fact have a different avatar for EVERY POST.

The amount of extra attention I am as such forced to pay to arbitrary lines of text (which are, by the way, still a very ugly green color) is a needless source of headaches.

I hope your little 'prank' and the resulting 'humor' is of enough value to you for it to damage my personal wellbeing.

So far I've had no problems with forum changes reflecting the server, and most of them I like (The Banner up there, and the mist down under) but the new profile pictures I frankly do not like.  Some of them really look quite disgusting, and is then NOT something I like to see all over when we discuss OOC questions.

Any DM wanna make a post about what the changes mean?
