Are you sure? I know that is some quests, NPC's that cast this spell deal magical damage when doing so. I've never tested as a PC however.

I know that it deals negative damage on the goblin cultist cave quest. (It also just makes more sense that it'd deal negative damage here, rather than unblockable magical damage)

Should be cleaned/stickied somewhere. Alot of this information is missing from the website, particularly the various metamagic feat bonuses.
