Please, can an option be added which wipes the whole description so you can start from blank again? It makes extremely hard to write perfect and typo-free text into the journals so at least this way you dont have to buy a new journal each time you fail type something.

If there already is an option which cleans the description of the logbook, maybe it could be included in the writing tablet so people know what it is?

If you leave the item in a container or die with it on your person, it will turn back to default, but you'll be stuck with the header and minus the charges; books are hard to keep intact and correctly written in game. >_>

I like the idea of being able to create text in game. The biggest issue I have with this is -

I'd like to see the journals be -permanent-. That way, after a PC dies, someone else can read their journal. They can be collected, preserved, etc. It'd add a bit more dynamic to our server.

Also, I'd like to see the ability to erase the text. Maybe it could be that after a reset, the text becomes permanent, so, you would have the entire duration the server it up in between resets to fix typos, etc.

I didn't lose any charges from the research book the last time I used it. Maybe you need to logout/server reset before it becomes evident? (couldn't say as I gave the book to another person after I wrote it)
