The Old Hack

Well, I was poking around in the watery tunnels beneath the Gobsquat when I suddenly attracted the negative attention of a mako shark. I frantically went for the surface and emerged and thought I was safe -- but nooo! The darn thing kept chasing me OVERLAND!

Finally I met someone friendly to rescue me:

After that I decided to stay on dry land. It's dangerous underwater, especially for a level 4 fighter in swimwear!

(My character is not in the image because she was hidden behind a bit of wall so I didn't even try to include her.)

Disco

Landsharks! or flying sharks!

Instantly reminded me of

Anonymous Bosch

Just when you thought it was safe to go near the water.
Jaws 5: Landshark.

Egon the Monkey

Well, looks like the new setting has finally
[hide="[puts on sunglasses]"] ...jumped the shark[/hide]

The Beggar

Sooo, are you saying you ran into spawns and hoofed it back so it could get beat up by NPCs?

Man up. Get eaten.

No, I am saying that I fled a shark by climbing out of the water and when it jumped after me and chased me by bouncing on its belly across land, I panicked and ran for help! Stop ruining my RP with your metagaming comments, they break my immersion! >.<

Lenthis

*Raises hand* This happened to me, with a swarm of slimes, and was utterly horrific to the two level fours rpling by the water side as they were engulfed and nearly killed xD I think there need to be a block on what can follow you to the surface.

THEY ARE COMING BACK!

Egon the Monkey

I think a placeable transition would fix this, as mobs won't use them, they'll only run across floor ones. Changing all transitions out of the water to "swim up" OOC objects should do it.

Lenthis

Well a few things make sense following you up whilst others are just ridiculously weird, like slimes and sharks.

Yeah, this.

To be honest, I thought all water area transitions were placeables already.

I for one enjoy the screenshot by itself without randomly degenerating the thread by talking about transitions. Great shot!
