Let me tell you about Lycosa

So. Caster's the guy who plays girly carebear PCs who sucks at PvP, blah, blah, blah. Well, I do believe some of you learned how wrong you were when I sucked the blood out of your PCs!

Lycosa - The genus name of wolf spiders (tarantulas).
 
Theraphosa blondi - The binomial name for the Goliath Birdeater. Sadly, I have not gone on the harpy quest even once.
 
Heteropoda (name of Lycosa's animal companion) - Genus name of the Giant huntsman spider, the largest spider by leg-span.

This character was created on Saturday, January 22nd, 2011 at 10:28:10 PM.
Since creation, this character has logged on and off 85 times.
The character has spent 4 days, 13 hours, 57 minutes, and 31 seconds online.

Lycosa was a half-drow who grew up in the slave/gladiator pits of Traensyr. When she escaped, she scavenged and scraped by in the wilderness of the Underdark. Eventually she encountered a druid of Malar down below and adopted that Oath.

She had a hate on drow because drow's are just jerks in general, but she hated elves just as much because down in the Underdark, even the enslaved/captured elves treated her poorly.

The OOC concept behind Lycosa was to create a villain. Her shtick was spiders. They were the perfect hunters: intelligent, numerous tools (webbing, venom), and stealthy. I wanted to go werespider but I figured that was too much.

I had planned to always subdue but never to FD (except in extreme circumstances). The idea was I would beat people down, take some of their stuff, then they would come back after me and thus, they would hunt, hunt and live, and experience Malar's glory.

I was going to play up the half-drow side of her to increase her "monstrosity". Instead, I ended up with her being too meek about her race and while I would've revealed and reveled in it eventually, I only managed to show it off in a few instances.

Lycosa was originally going to join the Stewards but that plan got sidelined when she joined a "Brother/Sisterhood" of Hunters:


They gave her a simple task: spill blood! So she did:


In some cases, she got to feast on her favourite meal: elf blood!




Amadeus became one of my favourite PCs to pick on:


Despite the PvP heavy concept, I still tried to hedge my bets as much as possible. It wasn't often that I took on more than one target. It was fun when I did though!


Other times weren't so succesful:


Mannichus and his necromancers naturally made things interesting. I tried to spice things up as much as possible.

And here begins a record of my downfall. Three targets: Lou, Veronica Mesmerte, and Edrean Kavard.

I didn't know it at the time and I wasn't paying attention to the combat log, but taking on Kavard was a bad, bad, bad idea:

I've noticed that no matter the PC I play, I'm still always just a little preachy-cleric-like:


An escape! But... I couldn't resist messing with those on my tail (literally!)


No second escapes. But hopefully Lycosa's last words will ring in Kavard's head forever!

Oh so sad. I am so sad for the loss of Blood of the Tainted and Amadeus is going to have a very awkward time when he finds out.

As I read through your screenshots, I was actually holding on to my neck, your character really had a potent effect on Amadeus and I.

Amadeus had only just finished the task Blood of the Tainted set out for him and wanted to deliver the good news, and hopefully receive more answers.

I shed a real tear for the end of this character. And don't forget, Amadeus came willingly! You would never receive such an easy taste of Blood of the Seldarine if he did not! Which led to a strange relationship - a Stockholm syndrome we fell under.

To be quite honest, we were convinced you were a vampire since Smokey told us you were human... after we suggested "taint." Really put us off-track. That !@#!@#!#@.
